I mean you got Alex Caruso for a 21 yr old Josh Giddy. That’s grand larceny and your like ‘I’m hurt dude’
Chet Holmgren on Josh Giddey trade to Chicago: 'I was hurt'
Chet Holmgren: Playing with another screener (Isaiah Hartenstein) on the floor opens up more… So we’ll find out where it goes, we don’t know how it’s going to look, but I’m excited for it. Paul George: Even the addition of now Alex Caruso going over there, how do y’all feel about it, cuz y’all already was a good ass defensive team. Holmgren: Man I was ****ing hurt when I saw that that Josh Giddey is not going to be on our team anymore. We all rock with him, that’s our dog, still is. He’s going to he’s going to go do great things in Chicago so we’re excited for him. We’re also excited to have AC on our team now too like you said he’s a great defender, he makes shots, he always makes winning plays, makes the right plays, that’s the type of dude you want to play play with.
Well, the two 21 yr old teammates (Chet & Giddy) did co-exist well on both sides of the court.
Now, OKC are gonna add Caruso & IHart's hustle-defense to the lineup to add more transition scoring for the team.
"Julius Randle's trade value 'neutral at best'?
Based on your reporting and knowledge of the NBA, what is Randle’s trade value at this very moment before a potential contract extension? Either in player compensation, matching salary plus draft pick compensation or a mix of both. (For what it’s worth, I do not favor trading Randle. — George G. Fred Katz: Here’s what makes discussions about hypothetical Randle trades so difficult: I don’t believe there is a team in the NBA that would value the three-time All-Star more than the Knicks do. I texted this question to someone who works in a rival team’s front office and received an answer I expected: “Neutral, at best,” the person said. – via New York Times
It's way too late to be thinking trade Julius Randle.
After Randle's performance in the 2022-23 regular season and playoff vs Heats, Randle earned a 4 yr (keeper) extension to keep building a winning Knicks team around. So did Quickley.
Why Mitchell Robinson could be the Knicks' biggest X-factor this season ....
If the New York Knicks have the type of season they're hoping for, they'll need a strong campaign from Mitchell Robinson.
Robinson won't get nearly as much attention as Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, or Mikal Bridges when it comes to projecting the Knicks' season, but he stands to have nearly as big of an impact. He may just be the Knicks' biggest X-factor this season.
At the moment, Robinson is the best and biggest big man on the roster — the Knicks' best rim protector, rebounder, and lob threat. The Knicks don't have any backups who have proven to have Robinson's impact when he's been healthy.
