You think it makes sense for KP to sign his qualifying offer instead of his rookie extension? We didn’t offer him a rookie extension, but presumably Dallas is going to do it (if they haven't already). Maybe I just don’t understand the specifics, but that seems like a huge financial risk to maintain the flexibility to possibly change teams in the 2020 offseason.
He backed off of this within hours of it making it into the atmosphere. They're going to do exactly like we were hoping to do...you know have his bird's rights and wait to sign in the summer for cap space reasons.
