if we sign kaman, there wont be room for melo under the cap. But if Donnie finds a way to make it happen, Felton Fields Melo Amare Kaman and Chandler on one team would be pretty beast. I wonder...

I would trade Gallo for Kaman straight up, nothin against Gallo. But first i would want to look into Kamans injuries over the past few years, im not sure but it seems like hes been injury prone lately

Only thing that worries me about Kaman is he ALWAYS seems to get hurt. Otherwise yes, He is EXACTLY the type of big we need and would fill alot of holes we have on this team as far as defense and rebounding go.

Exactly!!!!

This deal would have to come with a late first rounder or a couple of early 2nds to cover us taking on the risk of him going down

I do like there only being one year left on Kaman's deal after this season, so it fits our agenda of improving without taking on long term deals

Curry and Gallo for Kaman and Rasual Butler

Cap relief plus Clips get a young quality SF who I think Vinny D would like

Knicks

Felton/Douglas
Feilds/Walker
Wilson/Williams
Amare/Wilson
Kaman/Tariaf/Mozgov

Playoff team this year, and if Kaman plays even 60 games next year we are a 2nd round playoff team in 2012....again with money to keep improving.

Who knows they may even be interested in taking Randolph as opposed to Gallo?

Why not try to sign Yao on the cheap and hope he can make a comeback, very similar games. Check out Yao owning Kaman and then telling him "You can't f**king stop me."

forget it, as long as Antoni is coaching this team, his godson Gallo is NOT going to be traded. Chandler and Fields will be gone before you know it, IF we trade for anyone of note (Caramelyo, Kamanyourface).

Clippers fans aren't big fans of him it seems. From the sounds of it I'd much rather keep Gallo. Only one year on the contract left though, so I dunno.

I'm a big fan of the great white bald beast...But his career is just too shaky.

We aren't at a pt where we take on a maybe-great, but maybe-blowup player.

And def not by trading Gallo.

What a sick deal for Clip if it happened, though.

I read somewhere that centers around big men (Marc Gasol, DeAndre Jordan & Jason Thompson). I think all 3 of those guys are RFAs.

I'm sure they would rent a C for the rest of the year, but I believe they wont do anything to disrupt chances to improve club via free agency this summer.

I think this is why they deal Randolph to MIN for a potential lottery pick (1st rounder).

They could use that pick to pry away a player they covet.

If Carmelo becomes a Jersey Boy, we should aggressively target Deandre Jordan, Glen Davis, Andre Kirilienko, and Mayo. As well as extending Chandler and Turiaf's tenure on the team, picking up Turiaf's 5M option and giving Chandler a long term deal.

And we'd be young enough and loaded with unbridled talent to the pt where an explosive rise by any one player (Gallo, Chandler, eg), could vault us into "juggernaut" territory, versus the more methodical type of winning team that those Piston's were, lacking marque Max FA Superstars.

My DREAM SCENARIO, as a plan-C, is to trade Randolph and Walker to MIN for their #1 pick and Luke Ridnour.

Then, sign and trade w/ MEM for RFA Marc Gasol. We will draft who MEM wants with our original 1st round selection and send that pick along with Turiaf.

TO RECAP:

Knicks will add a LOTTERY PICK (top-5), Marc Gasol, Luke Ridnour to the current core of Felton-Stoudemire-Gallo-Fields. Of course, I re-sign Chandler under Bird Rights.

We have a lottery pick. I would say, if we cannot pry Ridnour away from MIN, I would draft Kyrie Irving (if he comes out). If not, there are some bigs to look at (Sullinger), or we could trade the pick for a player, grab a lower pick (target Walker or Federotte)

I would almost prefer this team to trading the farm for Carmelo. Not that I wouldn't want to do that, but it would irk the heck out of me that Melo forced us to do that.... And I would resent/blame Anthony if we failed to win a title, b/c he would have been the reason we had to gut the team to bring him in.

SO, would Gasol, lottery pick, another valuable role player + keeping team intact be more favorable to Carmelo Anthony?

I would love to get Kaman for the Knicks. He's an energy player, talented, with a lot of skills. Not exactly a defensive center but much better than we have now. Ain't no need to worry about his health. Ankle injuries are not problematic.

I wonder if the Clippers could be interested in Galinari.

what are u guys missing about Gallo.....He is 22 years old and gets better and better......100% agree he has weaknesses but the guy has such potential at 22 years old.

even in today's loss he brings so much to the Knicks....

I would trade Walker, Williams, Chandler ( 10 miilion next year is too much...plus he sleepwalks half the time ) or Fields...

I think Felton, Gallo, Amare mello ad whoever and u have a championship team.
