Down by 9 with under 3 minutes to go need a miracle now Knicks have only won one game this season when losing heading into the 4th quarter

Celtics play water tight on both ends of the floor as a team and we played sloppy. Good effort to get back into position to win this game late, but blew it in the end

Great game by DRose/Melo/KP; Courtney Lee is garbage; Isiah Thomas murdered him dropping 27 to erase 25 from Rose...Horn needs help coaching defense can't let the smallest man on the floor kill you like that; too many turnovers and too few assists too many 2nd chances for the Celts; valiant comeback falls short at least we fought on national TV:( Go Chiefs!!!!

I don't know, man, Isaiah Thomas only shot 9 for 23 from the floor and only attempted 8 free throws, 4 of which came on intentional fouls late in the 4th. Only guy who shot higher volume with lower percent than Thomas was Melo who was 9 for 24 from the floor. Rose and Porzingis both were way more efficient from the floor

Caught the tail end on radio when the Knicks were down and then went on an 11-0 run to tie it. The come back was exciting but the ending went the way most of the game went with the C's leading most of the game I think.

Knicks needed to win this one to show they were more than one of the 10 teams chasing the 8th seed.

2 plays summed up how poorly this game was officiated.... in the first half, ball is stripped from IT, And IT jumps on the floor and as he grabs ball so does LEE yet somehow the ref awards IT a timeout. In the second half, KP blocks a shot and it leads to a fastbreak (about to be an easy layup for NYK) but ref somehow calls a jump ball (which BOS wins and gets a bucket).

Horford grabs a shot off the backboard and no goaltending.... they nearly call a flagrant on Rose who drove to the hoop and smart runs into him (but they ignored 3 or 4 elbow push-offs on BOS)....

I counted 6 possessions where a BOS player catches a pass and creates space by taking a step without a dribble, establishing their pivot foot, pump faking then stepping again, picking up their pivot foot before finally dribbling (most egregious was Horford when he drove down lane for a dunk). If refs won't make these obvious calls then why call it basketball? Anybody can catch a ball, shuffle their feet and take 3 steps before shooting....

There was a terrible charge call on NYK when Smart jumped in front of KP...

The refs gave BOS 2 free throws at end of first half when there wasnt any foul.... you never see an out of control player hooking a shot get a call as time is running out, especially when the players isn't touched.

All in all, if you watched the game, the difference in the game was clearly these momentum shifts by the refs. Both teams went on a run (17-2 for BOS and 16-3 for NYK).... in between the runs is was a back and forth affair.

like I always say.... NYK plays 82 road games.

with that said, and it needs to be said every day bc the officiating in the NBA is borderline criminal. The sport is almost unwatchable bc of all the traveling and moving violations ignored and the inconsistent nature of fouls called....

still, NYK have this game away... too many silly turnovers attempting to make high-risk, foolish passes.... too much 1-on-1 by every NYK player..... midway through the fourth it was 8:15 (assist to turnover ratio). Mostly, it was all the wide open 3s NYK gave to bOS.

with all that said, it was 112-112 with a minute left and BOS worked their offense and drained a 3.... then chuck-it Melo hoisted a contested 3 (and the man who started the game shooting 2-13 bricked it). It was amazing to me how lackadaisical the Knicks were all game, given that BOS wasted them
by 30 earlier in the year and it was a nationally televised game.

Boston not the better team.... but when refs allow BOS to play physical then call all these touch fouls on NYK.... it plays into what BOS wants to do.... take away the charge, the jumpball call, the timeouts awarded and call the goaltend and NY wins by double digits.

Knicks got little from their bench.... BJ was a complete non-factor.... Afyer holding BOS to 23 in the first quarter the Knicks allow 34 in the second quarter and 2 more 30+ quarters in the second half.
thats pathetic.

The game was simple: BOS kept passing until Knicks stopped rotating, then they took the wide open shot. Meanwhile, NYK crossed half court and the first guy to touch the ball worked to create their own shot. Toss in the all the offensive rebounds BOS manages and all the turnovers (which led to 20+ points off turnovers for BOS).... add ice cold Melo (who got hot in third but hit 1 shot in the fourth)....

then the luck factor doomed NY: 1 possession an offensive rebound somehow finds BOS,
ball is then lost by BOS but somehow finds a bOS player, Smart loses it again but recovers it, then steps back and chucks a three as shot clock expires.... swish. What can you do?

at home, Your need more production from your bench and the refs cannot be so unbalanced that it hinders your chances to win.... then when your star is ice cold.... and you fail to execute down the stretch.... this is how you give away a winnable game.

Melo cant close and not mentally tough.... this is why BOS is slightly better right now. Knicks
clearly fighing for that 4-8 mix. Dropping 2 to BOs means tiebreaker will for bos way.

Knicks 3-10 vs teams with records above .500 (including at least 5 blowouts).... this tells
me either we are a team learning about ourselves and maybe we become a threat for the 4-5 seed, and to be competitive in the second round (winning a playoff series).... or we are just good enough to beat half of the teams in the NBA....
but will finish around 40 wins, grab the 6-8 seed (if lucky).... and lose 4-1 in the first round).
