Throughout this whole process i am surprised that no one has mentioned this topic:
Denver seems to not want to deal Melo to NY no matter how good the deal is.First they say chandler,gallo,fields nor eddy curry's contract + a first round pick isnt good enough which i think is insane, They wont have serious conversations with the knicks no matter what, now there is talk about denver not being interested in the proposed 3 team trade the knicks have set up with the grizzlies.
Do you see where im getting at here? Bottom line is that denver will not send Carmelo Anthony to the knicks, simply because they want to feel like they have control over where he go's and not Carmelo.Denver obviously wants him to go where they want him to go, even if the knicks had a better offer than the nets.They are very stubborn and does not want to be viewed as punks and suckers for letting Melo just go where ever he wanted.There approach is "We are in control, and we are going to decide where he goes".
So if we even somehow get Melo its going to be from free agency or denver somehow letting go of their cockiness and dealing melo to NY.
