Just heard on ESPN the Knicks want DaJuan Summers. I don't know why. He's a Wilson Chandler clone.

maybe that tidbit suggests Wilson Chandler being shipped to move up into the top3

scouts say he's turnover prone.. so he would fit in right away!!!

Rotation player
maybe Rubio will slip that far..

I like Wayne Ellington or Chase Budinger if they slip as a good shooter to have off the bench..other choice would be to go with highest upside available with Victor Clavor.

If they want to go with a back up PG, why not Patty Mills over Collison? He's getting little attention in the draft. Great speed, good defense, played well in Olympics for Australia..Not the most consistent shooter, (40% at St Marys), but doesn't have to be on this team as a back up PG.

Tony Parker scouting report 2001
Positives: The 19 year-old Parker is a very quick shooting point. A very good shooter with range and the ability to create his own shot, Parker is a deadly scorer who can really fill it up. As a point guard, Parker is a very good passer and ballhandler who can make plays for his teammates. Parker has the quickness to get into the lane and pull up for short jumpers. Parker abused top American prep point guards at the Nike Hoops Summit a couple of years ago.
Negatives: Parker is on the short side and is not well-built. He must get much stronger in order to withstand NBA-style punishment. Parker must also make an adjustment to the American-style game, after spending his formative basketball years in France. Perhaps due to his European training, Parker is not nearly as creative as an NY-style point guard such as Omar Cook or Jamaal Tinsley.

Patrick Mills scouting report
Strengths: Mills is a tremendously quick PG with good ball-handling skills ... A tremendous competitor who rises to the challenge in big situations. He proved that he is very difficult to stop at the open court and loves pushing the ball (vs. USA at the Olympics) ... A fundamentally sound and skilled player. Mills is always looking to score and he is more of a shoot first-pass second PG 18.4 PPG ... Has a quick first step ... Possesses a good outside jump-shot as well as NBA range ... Solid mechanics on his shot ... Sets up his defender well to get open when coming off the screens; if he sets his body and feet are squared to the basket he is difficult to stop (vs. Gonzaga 6-8 for 3PT) ... Mills can create shots off the dribble at any time due to his ball handling ability and his cross-over ... Has a good ability to play the pick and roll with a big man and making the right choices, helped by his quickness and passing skills ... Possesses solid passing ability and court vision; can find open teammates cutting to the basket or passing the ball to the low post 3.9 APG ... Defensively he is very tough and has long arms that helps him get steals (does a good job of playing passing lanes) 2.2 SPG. Good leader on the floor. A tremendous FT shooter .859% ... Possesses great International experience playing on Australian National Team in the Olympics (where he was the surprise leading scorer) as well as FIBA U19 World Championship ... A tremendous character guy who teams see as a perfect back up PG ...
Weaknesses: Lack of size and strength ... Not a true PG at this point as he is better at scoring than running a team ... Relies too much on his outside shot and can be a very inconsistent shooter .338 3PT% ... Takes too many contested and wild shots ... Questionable decision maker. Has to do a better job of attacking the rim and finishing under pressure ... Avoids contact under the basket ...

NO WAY you can answer this question until you figure out what we do earlier in the draft.

I mean, if we get a SG at 8, we'll probably go PF/C or PG at 29; if we have a deal to trade Lee for Rubio, and select HIll at 8, we'll probably go SG here.

Most of the guys on this list will be busts, but they'll be a gem here. Which one? Who knows.

Sam Young, Daye, Buddinger, Green are all decent options- but until we see what happens beforehand.... It's just spitting in the wind really.

Yes you can.
Its our pick.
Its what we have NOW...lets focus on now, instead of wait and speculate for something that hasn't happen yet.

I believe Hill is a smokescreen, hopefully...he's a bust if anything...very LAZY player.

Your prediction is failed and flawed, because this 2nd round is deep compared to other drafts. None of these guys are scrubs, alot of the 2nd rounders are well experienced(mostly seniors) and ready to produce. You can't go wrong, and I expect atleast 20% of the 2nd rounders to get a crack in a NBA rotation. This is deep because a guy like Wayne Ellington may fall out of the first round because so many 2nd round picks are jumping into the 1st round.

The guys you listed aren't even options...they will most likely be gone before 29.

How prescient you are.... LOL! We'll see how many of these guys are playing in the NBA in 3 years- or if Buddinger, Young, Daye or Green are gone by 29. YOu keep going out on that limb..... sooner or later.... SNAP!

Let me say this again, to be clear....

UNTIL we see what we do with the 8th pick, we have NO CLUE what will happen at 29....

BUT, to speculate.... From what we hear.... we're going PG or SG at 8, so that means we go BIG at 29, again... according to what's being reported.

Give me Taj Gibson then.

By the way, I know it may be tough for you to follow.... but you posted:

"The guys you listed aren't even options"

Well, I listed Green & Buddinger.... TWO GUYS LISTED IN THIS POST as options!

Man, you people...
