What the hell does that have to do with anything? One is a player and one is a COACH. Everything Marbury said was right and it wouldn't matter if he was a CBA player or an NBA champion. The point is, everyone recognizes what's going on here with this clueless coach.
Just because you want to question the career of Marbury. He was great in Minny, went to NJ and carried them on most nights (23pts 8.5Ast), played good here as well (I'm only talking about basketball here). He was and probably still is better than any PG we have on the bench besides Davis.
The difference between Marbury and Antoni is that Marbury went to other teams and at least continued to put up solid PG stats. Meanwhile, Antoni can't even reproduce what he was generating in PHX despite being labeled "offensive genius".
Marbury would probably mention things like that. :smokin:
Every team he's been on improved after he left.....Jason Kidd took basically the same team to the Finals twice.....Phoenix achieved back to back 60+ win seasons and Conference Finals after he left and Nash joined them.....Marbury was a very talented and skilful player, posting great numbers for his career, but he didn't know shit about winning and what it takes to make his teammates better. It was all about "me, me, me" for Marbury.
He made his money here, good for him, but we didn't even make the Playoffs with him, apart from that half season he spent here in 2004. Because of him we lost a HOF coach in Larry Brown, a coach we desperately need right now.
Marbury was great to watch and his boxscore always looked good, but similar to STAT and Melo, he didn't know how to win and how the big picture works.
