The New Knicks are starting the 2014-15 season with a brand-new coaching-staff, this was a must need for over a decade.
The Knicks roster has two veteran players at every position that would welcome being one of the first 6 players on the court:
Dalembert (center) a 24 min per game player.
Jason Smith (center) a 24 min per game player.
Amare (C/F) a 30 min per game player.
Barg (C/F) a 24 min per game player.
Melo (SF) a 32 min per game player.
Outlaw (SF) a 24 min per game player.
JR (SG) a 24 min per game player.
Shump (SG) a 30 min per game player.
Calderon (PG) a 24 min per game player.
Prigioni (PG) a 24 min per game player.
I expect president Phil Jackson to play a big role in Fishers first season coaching...
The Phil/Fish staff will have the 10 highlighted vet-players above, if all are healthy I expect (to see) a mini-version of a tri-angle system (or any type of team-system). Which should indicate coach-Fish running a 10-Man rotation of veteran-players to start the season, also giving 8 of the vet-players somewhat equal playing-time per-game to have a successful start.
It doesn't matter who the Knicks Starters are when the roster has 10 capable vet-starters.

We can also say good bye to the (decade) miss-manage coaching-staff, who FAVORED certain-players by giving them more playing time then they can handle under a non-chemistry system.
This forced Knicks-fans to watch a Knicks team poor defensive performance in the 4th quarter of each game, for over ten years. Plus the Knicks coaching-staff from 2004 coach Lenny Wilkins to 2013 Woodson all had the same philosophy of favoring 7 to 8 players for their game rotation throughout the season.
It's not hard to say, None of the Knicks head coaches from 2002 to 2013 came close to the high level of head-coach JVG team-chemistry ...does the 5 yr tandem Marbury & Crawford under 4 different head-coaches have any memories? NO!
