Nets without KD may be the only team we have a chance of having a better record than in our division. Unlikely we won't be last in the Atlantic but maybe Fizdale pulls a rabbit out of his hat, DSJ looked good in a pickup game dropping 50, looks like he got a stepback in his arsenal over the summer.
For some reason, I see the Nets strong depth having a better record than the Celtricks next season, Boston lost their 4th quarter team leader Horford to the 76ers in the off-season. It's gonna be real hard for Fizdale's type of coaching to have a better record than any of the Atlantic Division teams.
After last season (17 win) coaching, Fizdale has to pull more than just a rabbit out of his hat, and a Ace up his sleeve for the Knicks to have a successful 2019-20 season. I don't believe Fiz has the coaching strategic to be a winning coach in the East.
I say that, because high scoring Kobe, and even M. Jordan could never take their team to the next level performing in a ISO-system.
Fizdale are still a big question mark to be the Knicks head-coach throughout the entire 2019-20 season !!!
This season is in the hands of DSJ-Randle-Morris. If these 3 cats can step up, handle the load on offense and lead the kids... everything else will fall into place.
If the kids can focus on development and being the 3rd,4th,5th options.... then we should be golden.
Randle-DSJ-Morris should be able to muster 22/18/16 per.... combining for 50-60 points a game.
DSJ are a decent offensive scorer however, NBA opponents score on DSJ in less than 7 seconds (the reason he was traded).
Morris has a decent jumper and low-post game on the offensive-end to become one of the Knicks top scorer however, Morris cant help him self from committing fouls in front of the referees.
Randle are a decent hustle player having energy & creative ways to score on broken plays however, as a defender Randle give-up to many points.
Knox remarkable ability to score on one-step or two-step to the basket may become Knicks top scorer next season however, Knox poor defensive performance being 6.9 in height need to be put under-arrest after every loossing game.
Dotson showed to be our best 2-Way performing player in his 2nd season however, Dotson need to be more consistent in his all-around skills in his 3rd season, plus Dotson look like his performance will improve having a partner (Payton) in the back-court throughout the season.
Trier Iso-Zo has showed some good signs of a play-maker having accurate passing-skills, however Trier performance could improve quickly to being a threat on both sides of the court in a (same-page) trio-wing lineup, plus save all the ISO moves for crunch-time scoring, or the final 24 seconds of a quarter.
