...He IS better than Bosh
Amar'e is a BEAST in the post and in the paint
Bosh is a WUSS in the paint and will get eaten alive
c/s....Amare is definitely the harder player to stop and is a more versatile player offensively. Amare bangs down low, Bosh is terry cloth...that means hes very softI agree, Bosh is on the weak side. I see Bosh more like a hybrid 3/4 than a pure 4. Amare is a hybrid 4/5, but is better suited at the 4-spot.
I can't wait to see Amare crap all over Bosh. If Amare can be more consistent rebounder, he will be at a level Bosh couldn't attain.
Amare Stoudemire is actually a very good rebounder.
9 rebounds per game is well above average, for a 6-9 power forward.
Stoudemire is not a good man to man defender, but he can still block shots.
In fact, Stoudemire has averaged over a block per game in each of his first
8 NBA seasons.
David Lee's career high blocks is .5 per game.
The Knicks have the talent to make the playoffs, and they have the chemistry.
But the one man that has held this team back and will continue to hold this team back is Mike D'Antoni.
I'm still staying positive, though, because I'm confident that Walsh or Dolan will fire D'Antoni, once he fails for the third straight season. And once he gets removed, the Knicks will start winning. All the Knicks need is a defensive minded coach that talks to their players like adults and doesn't try to humiliate them in public.
A Stoudemire, Felton, and Randolph trio is definitely enough to make the playoffs, with the right coach. Gallinari is a good 3 point specialist, and Chandler is a multi-dimensional 3rd option. Bill Walker is a very athletic role player, and Azubuike can really shoot the 3.
what has to be mentioned here is a.s. is now in the east... he isn't going to be able to run up and down the floor unmolested like with the suns... in the east any given game you are in the house with the beast. and he and randolph better be ready or we are going to be doling out alot of money to guys sitting on the beach in street clothes. the 7th game of the championship this year was a sluggfest eastern style and had perkins played for the celts there could have been a different out come... does anyone think the knicks as is right now are even close to being in the same league as those teams?
