Dantoni is the reason for Mozgov's Success

So basically, those who are not attributing to Mozgov's success to D'antoni are saying:

Mozgov is lying?

Oh I get it! Alluding that I am some how 5"4" instead of 5"10' is supposed to mask the fact that you are a blow hard racist living in a delusion that you some how mean anything. Gotcha:thumbsup:

Spin Doctors? You are the one sounding like a Pavlovian dog with the George Bush like simplistic thinking of us verse them. D'ant supporters vs. detractors. It is you who must twist our words and our meanings, making us out to seem like blind fans of a coach in order to debate basketball. No sir, you are the one spinning. Mozgov said what Mozgov said and you can't spin that. D'ant attempted to have Mozgov start from day one and you can't spin that. D'ant is the head coach and put Mozgov in the lineup over the other bench players and you can't spin that. The facts are on our side and you are the only one dizzy from all the spinning.

No it isn't.

And if you believe it I have no respect for your intelligence.

Nobody thinks MDA can do no wrong.

While coach had to play SOMEONE b/c of injury...I fail to see how this is an issue, this is how it has happened since the beginning of sports. It was on MDA to decide who he wanted to start getting more minutes. Tom Brady only got a chance to play b/c of Drew Bledsoe's injury. Should the Pats fire the whole coaching staff? Injuries happen. When injuries happen other guys get a chance to step up...that's the way it has always happened and will continue to happen. Moz has had his fair of good games since returning to the rotation, but he has also had not good games against better defensive fronts...

He could have played someone else too, right?

I mean we do have other players. So why choose Mozgov out of the rest of them. According to the same posters, AR is more polished and ready to go then Mozgov was, so why not give with more minutes?

I'm curious to see why you think that.

Yep! I consistently have critiqued MDA, as have you, and I know Trill has, as well.

The (sad) truth is that it is only the incessant spin and misdiagnosed witch hunting against MDA, that makes it this absurd Us vs Them.

How often do you see any if the "Spin Doctors" go out of their way to praise MDA, or hype him (or Gallo for that matter; or flame and question Chandler so fanatically)?

Answer: very rarely. And it'd be even less if "Your" Camp stopped popping MDA Viagra, n let the raging hard on die out.

The only simple truth here is who is fanatical, constant, and consistently going out of the way to flame and speculate and (conspiracy) theorize on how horrible/negative/reprehensible Knick players and coach are, as well as Knick fans.

I know I heavily criticized MDA last year for continuing to roll with Duhon after we lost game after game and Nate wasted away on the bench. But I'm not going to criticize him for the sake of criticism.

Fact is I think this board breaks down to two types of people:

Those more likely to blame players for losses.

Those more likely to blame the coach for losses.

I am the former, for sure. But there are some on here that are so blindly the latter and don't even realize how unfair, on occasion, they are.

This was a thread about what MOZGOV said about MDA. Any issue with the thoughts/comments made by Mozgov should be directed towards Timofey Mozgov himself.

Mike D’Antoni acknowledged he’d always wanted Mozgov in the Knicks starting lineup, and with his recent performances, the 7-foot rookie center has given the coach a reason to keep him there.

But I think Tim has played well enough to deserve it, first of all. And we should be better with more size.

But, but, but!!!!! D'ant likes to play small guys out of position!!! I know SSOL like I know my own dick beating palms and D'ant likes to play small! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I don't care about new information, I formed a belief and I am sticking to it regardless of the facts! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

In trying to rev-up the offense, ssol dictates uptempo ball...

Uptempo ball means sacrificing size for speed and positioning...

Sacrificed or compromised size and speed over the course of a game and or season =

A preclusion or moreso a direct and indirect affect on defense. Simple.

So since you are hell bent on embarrasing yourself, keep on posting and toasting o great spin doctor. Let me guess you spun the fact that you're corny short and fully exposed into something positive.

Only you trill, only you.

Remember who put you on to the nuances of this limited system. Then recall who gave you valuable insight to your limited psyche. No thanks needed, afterall you are like an adopted son.

So please son, go look up racist and let us know when your homework is done. Btw I love white b*tches, and I know you realize thisby the attention I "parse" in your direction.

I'll make a mental note to put those messages on the fridge lower for you...k?

This topic is hilarious. Mozgov was talented... that is why he is playing like he does. That and he's been getting consistent advice from Herb Williams. Mike D'Antoni impeded this kids progress from day one -- making the bad decision to start him, then the bad decision to bench him completely until desperate measure called for him to come into the line-up.

The truth is that if it were not for Wilson Chandler's injury, Shawn Williams' suspension, and Ronny Turiaf picking up two really quick fouls, Mozgov would never have had the chance to shine the way he did.

It took a miracle performance for the coach to recognize his ability.

That is the plain and simple truth.

You are a bizarre ginger haired dude with some lame 90's Dennis Rodman fro who resembles the Wendy's girl more than a man. You are a Sanford and Son junk throwing chump! Calls himself Red cause he has been embarrassed since birth and can't help but to blush...

Anyway, if you care to actually talk basketball instead of your delusions answer me these questions:

Why did D'ant start Mozgov at the beginning of the season if likes to play small ball?

Why did Mozgov give D'ant credit if no credit is due? (don't tell me he "has to say that" cause he didn't)

Why did D'ant chose Mozgov of all his bench players if he lacked confidence in him?

Why has D'ant preached defense and size if he doesn't care about either?

If Ifs and Buts Were Candy and Nuts, Everyday Would Be Christmas.

IF AR did what Moz did...IF IF IF. But the fact is, he didn't. In fact, last time AR got in the game, rather than focus on rebounding and defense, what we need him for, he popped a 20 foot J with tons of time left on the clock that missed the rim by inches to feet...

That's the point. AR has never been given the chance to do what Mozzie Mozbourne did. Mozgov wasn't even given that chance and had to have a miracle game to get into the line-up.

........IDIOT

You do realize because you insult someone or say you're right doesn't actually make you right.

You have not one shred of evidence to suggest your point of view is correct; AND, no, Mozgov saying he has confidence after he is playing well is not evidence of D'Antoni's "masterful plan."

I also have an article where Mozgov, a gentle soul, actually said he wanted to throw a TV against the wall after being thrown out in the Phoenix game, because he figured that he blew his once chance to prove himself to the coach....

D'Antoni had no confidence in the kid, and it took a miracle game to show D'Antoni he was wrong.

It is comparable to saying, hey D'Antoni, see how the stove is red, that means its hot........ but, D'Antoni, because of his stubbornness, won't believe it until he puts his hand on it.

All the indicators were there that Mozgov could contribute (just like Ant Rand), but it took someone shoving MDA's hand on the stove (aka, injuries, foul trouble and suspensions) for him to learn it.

If you have something rationale to say, I welcome you to it. If you just want to insult me, don't even bother. It just shows that you know you're wrong about MDA.

If it took a miracle game, then Moz playing well was a miracle and he isn't that good and D'Antoni wasn't wrong...

To clarify: It is wholly unclear what you are describing as a miracle: Mozgov's play or the fact that people on the team got injured? If the former then you admit D'Antoni was right. If the latter, that's crazy talk as injuries happen on a not irregular basis in this league.

Why did D'ant start the season with Mozgov at center if what you say is true about him needing to "touch the hot stove"?

I see it inversely that Walsh and D'ant had nothing but confidence in Mozgov and that it was Mozgov's play such as early fouls that opened the door for other players to snatch away his playing time.

Moz is playing good and he had talent and ability that was there all along. But 23 and 14 for your first time off the bench is a miracle game. If this kid turns into a 20 and 10 player, then it makes MDA look even that much worse for completely benching him for two months.

D'Antoni started Mozgov because of good preseason marks -- which it was. But, this time the red stove wasn't that the good preseason games, but the fact that it was preseason.

To start in regular season a kid that has never played in the NBA before and is used to Euro ball was stupid. And, when you take him out of the starting line-up then shortly thereafter bench him completely, MDA impeded his development.
