This subject about what Melo needs to do is getting real stupid. The ONLY thing Melo is guilty of is his occassional bad shot selection. Melo has been the same player for years, so why is everyone acting like this is something new? He's a scorer and he does it well on most nights. Very few people can actually guard him.

Yes, it would help to move the ball around more before getting a shot off BUT Amare is often guilty of the same thing. Melo does not NEED to get Amare involved in the offense. That task should go to the COACH. I mean seriously, Antoni needed Nash to think for him and now we want Melo to do the same thing. George Karl had no problem making it work with AI and Melo. Sure they didn't get past the 1st rd but they were a consistently good team throughout the season.

Now Melo is being questioned to the point that he will defer too much to guys that can't get it done. He's already talking about taking a day off! This whole situation is just bad. Melo is the only player on the team that can take over in the 4th but we'll see what happens when he decides to pass it around on possessions where we need him to score. If Amare was just as aggressive, he'd be okay.
