Happy Birthday MLK .. My Knicks are in Detroit playing the 12-34 record Pistons.
How many Knicks players will coach Tom Thibs give 35 or more minutes of playing time in todays game?
The Knicks have a 3pm game tomorrow vs Toronto Raptors in MSG.

The end of First Quarter .. Knicks 39 - Pistons 22
The Knicks grabbed a 20 pt lead early in the 2nd quarter over the Pistons.
Half Time .. Knicks 62 - Pistons 55
The Knicks 9 man/or 8 man rotation has no optimism in their performance, especially when 3 or 4 Knicks players play 10 or more minutes in each of the 4 quarter game.

We played all the starters the first 8 min of the 3rd quarter and our Knicks lead slipped down to 6 pts. so we take Barrett out for Quickley.

Randle played Bully-ball the last minute of the 3rd qtr. to stretch the Knicks lead from 6 to 10.

We are so lucky the small-ball Detroit Pistons does a lot of dumb ???? resulting in turnovers

I see the Pistons have already cut the lead to 7 points under 5 minutes remaining, this was supposed to be an easy win

Our Knicks ran a 7 half man rotation to beat the small-ball Pistons 8 man rotation.
What is a 7 half man rotation?
When a team only give 7 players double-digit minutes of playing time in a 48 minute game, plus give 1 or 2 players garbage time minutes.

The Knicks are playing 3 games in 4 days .. And this game today (7 half man rotation) and tomorrow will be proof the Knicks are gonna try to trade 3 or more players on the Knicks roster before the Feb. trade deadline .. Because Tom Thibs has a career of only coaching 7 or 8 players in a season !!!

Knicks 25-19... 38 games remain. If they go 20-18, they finish with 45 wins. Dare we dream of 50 wins? Is 25-13 attainable? Probably not... but somewhere between 45-50 is reasonable?

Those 25 Knicks wins had Brunson playing 37 or more minutes a game.
Today coach Thibs played Brunson 40 minutes in a game that Brunson could've stayed home resting watching the Knicks win on TV.
Tomorrow will coach Thibs have to play Brunson 40 minutes to beat Toronto in MSG at 3pm ???
Oh Yeah! The Knicks did not develop a uptempo or ball-movement or running game in their 48 min performance the first half of the season .. All the 40 minute players want to do is shoot 3 balls, and their 40 minute defense gets weaker as the season goes on.

We could count on one hand how many times coach Carlyse gave Brunson 33 min of playing time in a game for 3 seasons as coach, and Kidd's one season as coach (rarely in regular season games), the playoff are different.
A star player need a personal-coach during the season to break him in slowly preparing to play those types of high minutes during the midseason games when teams are playing for playoff seeds.
Or they become another Randle closer (turnover/miss FT/tired) the final 5 min of a game.
Look at Barrett's first 3 seasons in the league receiving 35 or more minutes game after game.

I don't know why Brunson's Pops didn't stop coach Thibs from playing Brunson more than 30 minutes a game at the start of the season. Especially, having a healthy veteran D.Rose sitting on the bench waiting to be Brunson's backup for 16 to 22 minutes a game.
