Thanks for the Game Thread Rady .. I doze off before the Game, and woke up at Half Time to watch the Derick Rose MVP celebration in Chi Town. One of the NBA Super Star players Mr. Derrick Rose!
Derrick Rose leadership in 2020-21 season gave us Knicks a 2nd-unit energy lineup of only bench players, becoming our 2-Way quick scoring transition lineup .. Rose, Quickley, Burks, Toppin, and Taj Gibson's performance in a 2nd unit lineup out-scored 65% of their opponents on the court as the Knicks 4th Quarter starter lineup.
Half Time ... Knicks 72 - Bulls 63
The 3rd Quarter the Bulls LaVine & White ran the Derrick Rose transition-offense to outscore the Knicks 41-17 in the quarter which gave the Bulls a 15 point lead to start the forth (4th) quarter.
The Bulls 9 player rotation throughout the 4th quarter tradeded point for point for a Bulls 139-126 win.
Tonight should be the reason to increase the Knicks 8 man rotation, especially in back to back games it prove to be unsuccessful against 9 or 10 man rotation teams (Thunders & Bulls).
Tibbs substitution coaching showed no depth in the Knicks rotation the previous two games.
The Knicks need more help from the bench than McBride/Payne/and Precious.
The Bulls bench scored 31 pts tonight.
The Knicks bench scored 17 pts, tonight.
The Thunder bench scored 44 points.
The Knicks bench scored 5 points.
Jericho Sims and Kolec belong in the Knicks rotation too.
Our win streak had to many 5-20 record opponents.
I'm still upset about all 5 starters receiving 40 minutes of playing time in one of the back to back Games.
Especially, when only one (McBride), or maybe two bench players co-exist with the starter lineup players after 35 games.
Knicks head coach Tibbs, already messed up Jericho Sims career by never giving Sims any consistent playing time (18 minutes, in 25 straight games) in 4 seasons. Like Tibbs did with McBride in his 3rd NBA season last year giving McBride consistent 24 minutes of playing time in 36 straight game do to Knicks injuries.
We went practically 3 seasons of a DNP McBride, when we seen McBride Potential during his rookie season.
