I guess I refuse to mention the Knicks had a 23 pt lead in the 2nd quarter of the game in the game-thread.
Why? Because we finally put (My Winner) Mitch Robinson in the starter lineup, plus gave Mitch 30 minutes of playing time, so I will admit I had hope for a Knicks win at the end of the game, especially after Big-Mitch forced an over time vs Celtics. I really wished we would have given Precious Achuwa 26 minutes of playing time.
The Cavs out-rebounded the Knicks 49-35.
The big luv Tibbs showed for Brunson/Mikal/Hart each game of the 2024-25 season (38 minutes per) were outrageous when the trio showed no team chemistry together on offense & defense. It was hard to tell the trio performance won a NCAA championship together from their season with the Knicks.
I'll close with this, our 82 game season were the Knicks playing without heart & pride this year?
Could they be holding back for the playoffs? Or more likely, the no coaching adjustments, poor offensive & defensive schemes, and the 40 minutes are catching up to their health.
Passes have been sloppy, low IQ, and telegraphed. Those rebounds we used to get, too often we don't. Poor execution or our disaster plans after timeouts. Long periods of no scoring and shot clock violations, missed free throws. Dumb D switches on picks. Can't stop anyone at the rim and when they luckily miss the opponent is usually there for any easy tip in.
In the end, I think some will be surprised when we beat the Pistons, then go 0-4 in the 2nd round against the Celtics. However our mediocre style of play does lead to another 2nd rd exit.
Let's go Knicks.
