I don't like Billiups!

Of course a healthy player is going to have better numbers and contribute more! AGAIN I am looking at Billups HISTORY, not his production while injured.

There I said it! Crucify me if you wish but I simply don't like his game at 35 years of age. He does not facilitate the offense competently, pulls up for too many bad shots and seems to be turning the ball over at an alarming rate.

Either way, our offense looks stagnant and Amare has been less effective due to the lack of orchestration coming from the PG position.

Billiups will hopefully turn it on in the playoffs and may even win a game or two for us in the post season but as of now Billiups has been a big disappointment and the biggest reason we are struggling.

Amare set NY's all-time record for consecutive gms with 30+ pts. That had nothing to do with "Felton" & everything to do with Amare being Amare. Amare made Felton's CAREER year & it wasn't the other way around; let's not act like it was.

When NY landed a top 5 NBA scoring Melo, someone who has averaged well-over 20 points per during his first 7 years in the league... Anyone who knew anything about the game of basketball knew STAT's numbers would DROP. He's not the only star in NY anymore. He doesn't have to carry the franchise anymore. Melo & Billups both took that pressure off of Amare.

Also, cut it out already. Stop trying to act as if Raymond "career year because of Amare & MDA" Felton is better than a champion running the PG position when...

A) Lawson couldn't start over Billups.
B) Felton cant start over Lawson.

A + B = C) Felton cant start over the same Lawson who couldn't start over Billups.

Karl is an excellent coach. He only starts the players who give HIS team the best chance to win. Lawson.

his veteran experience and leadership should of outweighed a system everyone says he does not agree with.

I am not marginalizing him to some "weak PG that hasn't made a name for himself" I am critiquing what I see from a 35 year old vet with historical tendencies and the assists per game of Chris Duhon.

The guy has a career average of 5.6 assists per game to go along with his 2.1 TO's! That's less than 3:1 Assist to turnover ratio! Garbage! Add to it that he has a career 41 FG% and only averaged .2 steals per game and one must conclude that people are confusing a ring and classiness with actual skill. Yes, he won a title on a very deep Pistons team and played well in the playoffs, hitting some big shots but his overall career minus a few playoff runs has been MEDIOCRE at best.
