dantoni is just ****ing moron plain and simple

theres no way around it

he either lets him play 34+ mins from here on or knicks will sink deep into shit

i mean how dumb of a coach do u have to be to make horrible substitutions EVERY game and let a pg who shoots 20% and can ONLY get around his man through picks, continue to start even after the all star break

shit is beyond logic, it's pure retardation

what's even more pathetic is dantooly got a hefty contract

what a waste, shouldve saved that $$ for the FA pool

coaching is simple, u design plays that fit ur players strengths, yet dantitty has a set system, they run 1 of 2 plays every possession for the whole game

just absurd

Since when does the money we pay our coach pay for a free agent? We can't go over the cap anyways, and coaching contracts count toward the coaching staff salary cap, something excluded entirely from the process of signing free agents.

You must not be watching a lot of Knicks basketball if you honestly think D'Antoni is putting out a "set system". He carried the system with him from Phoenix, but he has not implemented it to even a noticeable extent. Once he saw the kind of talent he had on this roster, he had to adjust accordingly and start to run a bunch of pick and rolls and player isolations because this team wasn't even capable of running the SSOL system. David Lee is essentially the point guard, seeing as he touches the ball at the top of the key on every SLOWED DOWN possession the Knicks run.

D'Antoni may not be the best coach, but the points you just brought up were invalid.

Douglas should get all the available opportunities, but it's a learning experience for him as well. Being a rookie, he's being thrown in to unfamiliar waters, and expected to produce at a high level. When he makes a mistake in a practice or in a game situation, suffering a loss of playing time will help him grow and mature as a player that is capable of running the point.
