This is why rival teams shouldn't trade with another. Its just weird....
First, when the heck were the Celtics rivals? Indiana, Miami... those were rivalries because of the brawls that broke out, Pat Riley, and Miller telling everyone to choke on it. (After his retirement, I've begun to soften on Reggie Miller the man; but still despise his history as a player.)
Second, as long as Eddie House shuts up on the court and is a reliable scorer, I don't give two figs if he was coming from France complaining about the lack of facial hair on our cheerleaders; I want WINS dammit, and I don't care how they arrive.
Third, history is written by the victors. If a big star came to town and signed with the Knicks and took them to the Championships, how fast would haters turn? Just imagine the Knicks of 1999 traded Patrick Ewing and John Starks away for Reggie Miller and Alonzo Mourning. Sure people would be boo them and spit and everything, but if those two won a championship for the team, everyone would suddenly be worshiping them come 2000.
I guess my bottomline is this: Eddie House, shut up and score or else I'll start lobbing the
un-opened bottles.
