Dude, look at the +/- though. Duhon was +3, Nate was -7. Something was happening there that at least has something to do with Nate.

yes nate has been playing much better after the half way point, but isn't that what you would expect out of your young talent? to improve and progress? but you don't see it that way. you prefer a guy that plays good in the beginning of the season(with no defense) and progressively gets worser overall. not to mention, how his athleticism will be non-existent by next year.

DAVID LEE = CHRIS DUDLEY

face it, he's done. its time to change that david lee pic thats in your sig

the only thing that Lee brings is trade value. it would be wise for the knicks to trade lee at season's end for a defensive big man.

i'm going to be watchin' tonights game with much scrutiny. specially david lee's defense (n/h). hope your boy shuts down the opposition, wvknickfan. if not then expect a LEE APPRECIATION THREAD by me

I think its funny how you are using Gordon's 19 as an indication of Duhon's defense being bad when the kid shot a pretty shitty percentage if I remember correctly.

why is everyone suddenly hatin on david lee this crazily???? some posters have posted some very spur-of-the-moment posts. since the knicks are on a losing streak, and we're losing to bad teams that suddenly makes lee from a "must sign" to chris dudley? wtf??? come on guys dont hate like that, its pathetic. david lee is not just a role player either (neither is he an all-star). the funny thing is half of the ppl hating on him now, were all ova him during some of our winning streaks. i can understand if people want to trade him because they feel he isnt worth a lot of money, or to use him as a incentive for another team to take on curry or jeffries. dont get me wrong though, im not a blind david lee fan, i understand his flaws and i too dont agree he shud be worth over 8 million. but to hate on lee like some of u are doing is jst plain stupid.

If we have to keep one, I'd say it has to be David Lee. I simply don't trust Nate Robinson to be a full time PG. He dribbles too wildly, he's not a good enough passer, and he makes truly fundamental mistakes while handling the ball. What happens in 3 years when Nate is half a step slower, when Nate jumps an inch lower than he used to?

I'm not saying Lee is phenomenal but the way I see it a championship team needs a guy like David Lee. He'll get down and dirty in the key, he'll rebound well (as he's done all year) and clean up the superstar's mess. I don't see Nate Robinson being a starter, much less a starting point guard, on a championship contender. He just doesn't have the proper skill set to be a great PG, and he's way too small to play the 2. The way I look at it is look at the 1998 Yankees. They didn't have guys that would hit monstrous home runs every at bat, they had a bunch of guys that did enough, did the dirty work, got that key hit, made that key play. I'm not saying Lee should be a starting center, but on a team where there's a superstar swingman and a decent to pretty good 8-foot center, Lee can be that power forward who cleans the glass night in and night out. I feel like guys that can do what Nate can do are a dime a dozen. Sure, athletically Nate is extremely gifted, but athleticism, especially the brand of athleticism Nate has, fades a lot more quickly than a guy's work ethic to go get the rebound. I just can't picture Nate as the PG on a team that wins the title. I can picture David Lee as the big time rebounder on a team that does though.

Yes exactly!!

Pretty sure lee is playing hurt...as he's not used to these kinda minutes. Lee > Nate. I think tho who to trade will depen who we pick up in the draft. If we somehow get Tyreke Evans bye bye Nate

the only thing that most nate supporters want is for nate to start over that fool (duhon).

why can't you see that? is your love for duhon blinding your abilty to comprehend?

nobody wants nate to be our starting point guard for our championship team, not even me. right now, we don't have that type of point guard in our team. so, until we do get one, nate is the best choice to be our starting PG. F*CK duhon.

did you catch those incredible passes by nate yesterday? duhon could only dream of making passes like that. he has no creativity. duhon has the creativity of a pre-schooler. time to jump off, kblack.

Chandler missed what could have been the game winning shot, you like seeing more of this here or on another team?

wow you're so ignorant. That was probably his first attemt to win the game. Do you see how many times Robinson/Harrington and even other stars around the league miss "buzzer-beaters?" Wow.

Dude, I never mentioned Duhon in my post. Duhon will be gone by 2010. I'm just saying, if even you don't want Nate to be the starting PG on a championship team, why sign him to a long term deal? My post was STRICTLY about D-Lee v. Nate, that's it. YOU brought Duhon into the mix, I said nothing about him. And, in my opinion, if we are trying to build a CHAMPIONSHIP team, D-Lee is the guy to pick because he CAN be a starter on a championship team, Nate I can't see that happening for. THAT IS ALL I SAID!

I never said I wanted Duhon to be the starter for a championship run, again, I only compared David Lee and Chris Duhon. THAT'S IT!

Just because Nate is the best choice to be the starting PG doesn't mean he's a better choice than signing David Lee if we had to choose. That's all I was saying. You need to calm down little man.

can trade any and every player on our team for all i care at this point...aside from lee nate harrington gallo chandler there all a bunch of scrubs...and out of those i mentioned, the only one id say we shouldn't trade would be Chandler, possibly Gallo...Nate/Lee combo just doesn't work for any sort of reliable team, just not good enough [right now]...If i had to pick one idk Dlee hustles more then anyone, but his skill level just isn't good enough right now..if we can get a true big man to play with him then mayb, but he's just not good enough to play that posistion right now...i'm not crazy about Nate anymore either...he's hot and then he's not..and he's like a baby with his emotions, perhaps getting rid of both is best in long run....if we get LeBron idc what we do with em

IMO the player that really needs to be moved isn't even mentioned in the title of this thread and that is Harrington.I swear the more that I watch him play makes me want him out of NY THAT MUCH MORE.The guy is not a team player and he will do ANYTHING to make himself look better than all the rest in a game.If that means he pisses teamates off then he will do it!! If that means pissing off his coach then he will do it!!If that means making his team lose then dammit he will do it.

Say what you want but the guy IS NOT a team player. He is a me myself and I player meaning he does'nt worry about nothing but himself out there on the court.Everybody is arguing about whether we should keep Lee and Nate on the team but I honestly think Harrington should go.Lee and Nate both have flaws but I honestly would keep them on the team in a heartbeat before I would let Harrington stay.

Lee and Nate care more about this team than Harrington will ever care and thats the truth. They both want to win, they both play with heart and passion, and they care about their team and teamates.Yes Lee needs to improve on his defense and Nate needs to play more under control but I see those players improving on those things not Harrington.Harrington has been in the league for a while and I can already see that he will stay the same player he is.

I really do think we could trade Harrington and Jeffries off to another team. There are teams that will want Harrington scoring and Jeffries defense!!! I know you probably don't believe me but they're teams out there that will be desperate enough to trade for these two.Again you probably won't agree with me but thats just my opinion

I've said the same thing about Harrington. He pisses me off too with his antics. Get him out while he's averaging 20ppg.

Apparently Don Nelson said before they parted ways in Golden State. "You think you're a star but you're not".

How's that for a **** off!

Anyone remember Oliver Miller from the Suns?. He made Eddy Curry look like a toothpick.

Yeah, he's a chucker. I like him but a lot of the things he does really piss me off, and if you get him the ball no doubt he's going to shoot. He doesn't really make the other guys on the floor better. Someone will take a chance on him and his expiring contract, hopefully we can use him as bait to move up a bit in the draft or get another draft pick or something. I don't really care to see him on the team next year.

I'd prefer if he wasn't part of the master plan unless he's really willing to play an appointed role and not be such a black hole.

For the meantime I'm happy for him to keep chucking up shots and inflate his ppg in the hope he'll be wanted by a team with something good to offer or be incorporated in a Jeffries trade.
