The judge overseeing a lawsuit that former Bulls center Eddy Curry lost two years ago has issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court, according to court records and an attorney in the case.
Curry was ordered to pay $197,000 in the case last year, and on June 14, Cook County Judge Alexander White ordered him arrested on a warrant after he failed to appear in court, according to court records.
Records show the case was a personal injury lawsuit filed by a woman named Christina White, but her attorney, Larry Rogers, Sr., said it is under seal, and would not discuss details of the case.
The warrant, which carries a $150,000 bail, was issued after Curry failed to appear in court, Rogers said.
Curry, a graduate of Thornwood High School in South Holland, formerly played for the Bulls and now is a member of the New York Knicks.
