Rotation player
or any other 3 letter accronym that has the talent to make people want to lose their minds.
When NY gutted their team to make a run at LBJ it was a necessary move, we needed to start again and LeBron was the most sensible piece to add given he was the best realistic available option to turn around a franchise.
As we all know it didn't happen and would have been a complete failure were it not for the excellent moves made to acquire a TEAM that can compete and has massive upside. We were all happy, we finally had our respect and hope back. Now we want to throw that away?
Gallo or Randolph, that's the debate now apparently, which one do we give up? My answer is neither. We should be telling these kids they are the franchise, we have faith in their ridiculous potential and we should be telling Gallo that we realise last year was a blip due to chuckers and mercenaries being his team mate. Then again speaking of these mercenaries, what could we really expect? They knew they were trade bait and there was no loyalty to them so why should we have expected it back? It's easy to say for the money but pro sports doesn't work like that, especially not these days.
All I've heard is LBJ sold out and while I believe that is that not exactly wha t NYK do everytime a rumour of a player being unhappy occurs? From fans to management we are always looking for the BBD (bigger better deal) and we are quick to forget what we have and how important LOYALTY is.
I want to see this Knicks team kept together (apart from Curry obviously he had his chance) I want to see it grow and accomplish great things as each player safe in the knowledge they are wanted blossom and build a team spirit that is essential to a winning franchise. I want to see the pride and the passion return to NYC where all that mattered was not who was the best player but that they gave their all for the jersey.
If NY has any chance of being taken seriously now or in the future we have to stop fawning over every talented player like a teenage girl with their latest crush. Give respect, get respect.
