Caught a break with that replay but a bad play by Melo going iso on that drive but he makes the stepback to make up for it. Nail biter coming down to the end.
 
Big bucket by Calderon on a give and go layup, Rolo with the dime. 4 pt lead with 19 secs. left. This is a win if the Knicks can hit their FTs.
 
Shows you what I know... Calderon and Lopez work the give-n-go... NYK up 105-101 with 18 seconds left.
 
Too bad the NBA didn't schedule more games in the next couple weeks against ATL:)cool:)...ha ha good stuff from the Knicks reversing the Universe.
 
Surprisingly, NYK now 14-3 when leading after 3 quarters...

We just beat ATL 2/3 games in 11 days...

I believe that's now 4-6 (last 10 games... all vs teams above .500)...

We have 2 to go (@MIA, @SA)... Even if we lose both... We survived and avoided a severe, season-crushing swoon.

We tied last year's win total...

If we have any hope of attracting free agents... We must show grit and fight and be in the realm of relevancy...

Never easy beating a team twice in 3 days... Back 2 back matchup a tough... Especially really good teams.

We got a little stagnant down the stretch... Nearly cost us the game... ISO-Melo... But Melo was solid and clutch tonight and we basically led wire to wire... Can't complain.

Melo was clearly fouled. And ball went off Horford's elbow. Now way they would review that, see the missed call, and compound error by giving them the ball.

Yeah... Way too much ISO-Melo down the stretch.
 
Great win. Now lets beat Miami for a 3 game win streak. They've been hot and cold all season but I sense some chemistry coming together with Rolo playing better and KP improving with more playing time. Melo is going to be Melo and go iso every once in a while but his stats say he's buying in to this team ball concept.

I was worried they were gonna slap a technical on Melo... But that, sir, is how you be a leader!!! Stand up for your rookie.

Refs allowed physical play all night... Sparks were bound to flare up... I was worried they were gonna start calling ticky-tack stuff late... But they let them play. For once, we didn't back down when things got physical. A good sign. It might be possible we be playing meaningful games come April. Still don't think we are a 6-8 seed... Not unless some moves are made.
 
Does Calderon or Rolo get the game ball... I vote for Rolo.
Calderon play of the 1st half...after the steal, outrunning Jeff Teague.
2nd half...obviously the last basket
Rolo...rebounds tip-ins box-outs i mean he help us out-rebound Hawks he did a lot tonight for the win.

I did get frighten in the 4th qtr. when Schroder kept blowing pass Calderon poor defense to watch a 15 pt lead go down to a 2 pt lead
 
30 points and 10 assists from our starting G duo (Calderon-Affalo)... Keep saying till I am blue in the face... When we get even average production from the back court... We can win most games.

I think Williams gave us another spark off the bench... PORZ really neutralized Milsap and Affalo... His height bothered then.

Jose was efforting his butt off... Missed a few open looks and got toasted down the stretch... But he made the game-winning bucket.

Melo was impactful on defense... Key steal late in game... He rebounded and led team in assists...

Would love a win in MiA... Gonna be tough.
 
My bad... NYK 4-5 in this 11-game stretch against teams above .500!

2 to go... Even at 4-7... We did better than I predicted... 5-6, or dare I say 6-5.... Then we celebrate.

He is being taken out for his bad choices. Fisher IS NO LONGER TAKING **** FROM MELO. Iso MELO is being rewarded with his being yanked. It's about time.
