Melo left bc if a sore left knee. NYK have played second most road games in NBA...
Fishers philosophy seems to be its a long season so rest your guys, avoid injuries by not playing guys heavy minutes and it'll pay off at the end when you make the push to get into the playoffs. I still haven't figured out why he plays Serafin or Quinn on any given night.

what i can't understand is why not let AA guard the opposing guard when they are fast and causing problems to JC? what is wrong with guarding chris paul or Kimba by Aron? JC defence is causing us a lot of problems because his man is always going inside or shooting 3s!!!

Clifford chewing out his guy Hairston. Fish should do that.
Saw Hairston said he got fired up after Clifford got on him. Fisher should stop being Mr. Nice Guy and follow Clifford's example, start with Calderon the next time he does his matador impersonation in a one on one in transition.

I think what disappointed me the most, especially after that 4th Q JG had a little while back... And considering how LG has played lately... A real letdown those 2 young dudes, with fresh legs, disappeared and forced DF to call upon SAsha.

With Lt out... AA and JC running on fumes, with no ROLO and Melo and a Quiet KP... DW needed help and those 2 were nowhere to be found.

More than halfway into the season and JG is running out of time... Only so much longer team can depend on him before help us sought elsewhere. And LG is proving to be nothing more than a serviceable backup...

I still hold out hope for LG this season to be more impactful... JG looks more like a bust than a guy who'll bloom into something in 1-2 years.

And with. 0 pick this draft... If JG is a bust... That's a killer
THJ was way better than JG his rookie season. Now you see why he stayed in college for 4 years, can't shoot and has one move, put his head down and drive to the basket. He's got a lot of things to add or fix in his game, not sure he can do it by year 2 when the Knicks pick up his option.

THJR was nothing but a novelty player and that's what he's been thus far in this league. He can't even play ahead of players like Bazemore and Patterson

Grant while he has struggled should have been named starter day 1 almost forcefully in a way Toney Douglas played as a starter early in his rookie season(via accident). You don't wait to play 23yr old rookies or play them sparingly with all types of trash arse lineups. You play the rookie with the other rookie and develop the right way. If Grant is truly bad(which I doubt he's as bad as he's shown) then add him as another bad move by Phil. Calderon is just stunting development and/or finding a real solution at point guard.

If you want to know how to properly do it...go watch Denver Nugget games. They are playing Mudiay/Jokic/Harris(practically a rookie when season started) plenty of minutes together. The Lakers were pretty much doing similar in playing Russell/Nance/Randle several minutes together. The Pacers appear to be trying to play Young/Turner past handful of games. This is the proper way to do it.

Fisher is coaching "by feel" coaching "by the Win/Loss column"<--------this method will never work. NEVER EVER NEVER EVER!!!!!!!!

Fisher coaching and game substitution can be looked at in three methods ...
1-Fairly well
2-Fair
3-Poor

In the past two games coach Fisher method has been #3 Poor on offense n defense vs Clippers 116-88 n Hornets 97-84.
We were held under 90 pts consecutively is a reminder of a 17 win season team, especially when all 5 of our scorers (Melo, AA, D.Will, KP, and Calderon) receive 30 minutes of playing time per game.
Coach Fisher one on one offensive Plan-A doesn't work! And Fisher hasn't come up with a Plan-B yet.
We been winning the majority of our games this season from our Defensive-Players-Hustle-Effort ..

good post and Denver could probably steal a few more wins playing nelson at PG ahead of mudiay, but for what? to try to steal an 8th seed? that would be nice but you don't do that at the expense of developing top picks like mudiay. you can see the growth with him, Harris, and jokic( watch this kid he is going to be a very good big). Add in guys like gallo, Barton, Arthur, and they CAN put together a good squad. they have a good shot at landing a good lottery pick as well either their own or the knicks...

But the key as you said, is Play the rookies, especially if you are a team not close to contending..

Afflalo defensive skills are WEAK like Calderon .. this is why we depend a lot on Gallo Lance n Sasha help defense at the guard spot. As we got into the middle of the season we seen how weak Melo & D.Will defensive skills were becoming at the SF position so we use Gallo Lance n Sasha to defend our opponents SF on the perimeter.
Making us weak on defending our opponents guards with two career weak defenders in Afflalo n Calderon.

I was surprised that AA is ranked 418/434, even Calderon is ranked higher.'
