Maybe the reported comment made by Anthony Edwards that he doesn't watch much bball and would have preferred to play football had something to do with it.

Edwards goes first. Hate his motor, watching his highlights, he was the last one back a lot of the times and hearing he said he likes football more than bball said it all.
