Game thread: New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavaliers 7:00 12/12/2018 [Game #29]

Knox drains a 3 then a slam dunk, off a Mudiay assist to take the lead. But Mudiay missed a shot... then... down 3... Mudiay throws away the inbound pass (arguably ugliest inbound pass in NBA history).

Regardless, Nets win in PHi and we make up ground on CLE. Great night.
 
Knicks lose to the worst team in the NBA. What does that say about us? Definitely could lose 60 this season.
 
Knicks are without KP... we don?t lose this game if he?s healthy. Mudiay outplayed Sexton... 16-8-7 line.

Maybe Fiz told him to throw ball to Cavs. He called it the Zion play.

Bad pass but possibly even worse drawn up play out of a timeout, which Fiz isn?t the greatest at

Big plays were made down the stretch but not enough!

Limit THJR and play Knits and Mudiay together more
 
Knox and Ntilikina put up decent stat lines, but we got outplayed when they were on the court. Nice night for Mudiay and Kanter who seemed to have more of an impact on the bottom line. MRob practically invisible tonight. Fizdale has me confused at what the eventual goal with the rotations is at this point.
 
Just caught the last minute, pretty exciting with a lot of points scored in 60 seconds. Mudiay to Knox for the fast break dunk is why we watch bball, Nits did a good job defending Hood I thought, just better offense by RHood. Cavs are one of the worst teams but the box score is encouraging with young players like Nits, Knox and Mudiay having nice games. Second double digit game for Nits, is the most encouraging thing in a loss. The loss looked like it broke Kanters heart at the end though.

Yes. Awful play design. Fooled nobody. No safety valve... nobody running to ball... no HC calling a TO when Mudiay has nowhere to go.

Kanter stood there like a statue, should have abandoned that pick he was trying to set and moved to get to the ball.

So true .. worse drawn up play .. my first time seeing Mudiay & Frank in the same lineup this season

Both had deeply negative +/- scores of -15 and -14 so looks like you are correct. Odd for Nits not to have a positive impact when most nights he doesn't score yet has a + score.
 
I know that we are missing KP and planing for the next lottery to take us to the promise land, but my concern is, with KP and the next FA/lottery we are supposed to beat/compete with the above .500 teams, but for that to be true we should be able to beat/compete with the below .500 teams and at least cruse past the lottery teams...... do you think that the current team plus KP and one more player will be our team that we waited for since so many years?
