Game thread: New York Knicks @ Minnesota Timberwolves 12/28/2021 8:00pm [Game #34]

RJ came with a good 4th qtr. after stinking it up the first 3 quarters .. need to work hard on passing skills, and defensive switches.
I don't agree with Randle's 38 min and Obi Toppin's 10 min performance, especially when the tandem of Obi & Quickley's performance together in a lineup has earned 18 to 24 minutes a game vs all opponents going through the Covid Protocols to increase the chemistry growth between the two 2nd season players.

MitchRob should be receiving 8 to 10 shot attempts per game by the coaches order ..
Tonight, MitchRob stop the Wolves- Greg Monroe n crew from stealing another game in the 2nd half. It's becoming noticeable that Mitch has been performing at his best when he's a part of the scoring throughout a game .. Tonite, Mitch scored 3 times on put backs, 2 times on broken plays, and 3 times on hand-offs.
Having 7-8 FG for 14 pts, 18 rbs, 2 stl, and only 1 block.
The Knicks 10 Man rotation beat the Wolves 96-88 !!!

Obi with sweet dishes?. Thibbs crazy for not playing him more. I don?t get it. Grimes and IQ and Mitch and RJ is the future? so unless they?re traded, then they need minutes experience on the court together.

How do you out rebound a team 54 to 45 and there best player is out and only win by 8 points? MRob doesn't have this type of game if KAT is playing. Your observation of MRob shots is spot on. How do you have a player for 3 years and not develop a jumper(mid-range) and have design plays for him to get him into the flow of the game early?

Didn't know Greg Monroe was still in the league. Do you remember when we tried to sign him out of FA. I wanted the Knicks to sign him. Haven't seen him play in long time. Maybe they may to trying to do what the Cleveland is doing with a big front line. Can he defend the arc and shoot 3's(to me mid-range jumper is the best).

Forgot something... How do you not play Knox after he perform so good in the last two games he played in? He get out of protocol same time as RJ but RJ plays and he doesn't.

Dotson was our best all-around player on the Knicks. Fundamentality sound in all area's. So you consider that fringe?? Base on talent he is better all around than 'Q', 'Obi', Grimes, Walker, Fournier, let me add MRob to list because he doesn't have a jumper. I left off the obvious but so this would go to far. Let's take MRob out of the bunch is he a fringe? No jumper, can't handle the ball, can't pass the ball, etc.

I know you guys want players that aren't well rounded. You don't have a problem with them being on the team. Players like Dotson help to have a team that can play offense and defense not just one side of the ball.

This is why the Knicks are in the current state it in now!! For letting players like Dotson go.... Remember they the F.O. let D. Rose walk.
