Game thread: New York Knicks vs Dallas Mavericks 1/12/2021 7:30pm [Game #42]

Stop! All the MVP RJ Barrett stuff, the guy just had two consistent win games, performing well on both sides of the court playing winning ball. Plus having Randle mesh into RJ being the first option looked well the past two games for both players.

Especially, when we play teams with one Big-man in their rotation, like tonight.
The Knicks crowd tonight was yelling "throw the lob to Obi" and RJ comment in the post game were "I didn't hear them".

In the Knicks 42 games, how many games did MitchRob get 10 or more shot attempts?
I'm waiting?
How many games did RJ Barrett get 15 or more shot attempts?
Hint .. RJ Barrett average 15 or more shot attempts for 3 seasons.
RJ also average 32 minute, and 2 assist to Randle per game for 3 seasons.

Too late to make a run for the ASG if RJ had started this streak in DEC he might have got a look. DRose 7th in back court voting but he won?t be there, maybe if fans stuff the ballot box with RJ entries we can get RJ in for DRose lol. Voting ends 1/22.
 
Sorry I?ve been in football world but I do have the 2nd half of last weeks Celtic win on DVR! I don?t understand the RJ hate but stop yourself folks. The kid is growing up before our eyes. Is RJ even 21 yet? We have cornerstone piece to build around. I still we need an elite PG to get to the top of the heap. Great win tonight!

Most are in his corner except Kiya and Dark. I like everything about the kid, talent, attitude, hard work and humility. His interview at the end, team first attitude also just win baby, may not have the first step that Derozan has but can still bull his way to the hoop and has a 3 pt shot already and has years to become as good as Derozan at the FT line.

I saw the Bengals KC game, that Joe Burrows might be like your boy Mahomes and that kid Chase sensational.

I am with you ........ RJ is growing without a veteran consistent PG to help him. At age 21 I cannot understand the negativity.......The kid is growing in this disorganized Knicks Franchise....

KIYA I agree about Robinson........why do we not use him on offense.

Not to take anything away from J Chase incredible performance but did you see Burrows post-game interview:?we were lucky and got some calls..? Really??? I thought I was watching the first half of last years Super Bowl again there was so much yellow laundry on that field. Cost us our 1# seed and first round bye. Oh well enjoy watching ?Big Ben?s? retirement game Sunday night at Arrowhead!
 
CIN is good and should crush LVR, but this isn?t the year they get past KC? especially with the game in KC potentially?.

Mitch with 19&10?.

Mitch and RJ playing like assets that can fetch a star?. Knicks going to be faced with the Melo paradox? gut team for that coveted star?

I would like the keep IQ, Obi, Grimes, Mitch and RJ. Build around that!

Still, they gotta find their PG
 
I forget where I saw it, but some football analyst calling for the Bengals to win the Super Bowl. That would be some upset for an O line that allowed Burrows to be the most sacked QB in the NFL this year. Packers my pick to win it this year.
 
At the halfway mark, Knicks are 21-21 (tied for 10th). With games vs ATL & CHA? big week?

On pace for 44 wins, sort of where most felt they would be.

Next month should dictate how active and motivated they are to improve? I hope moves or focused on the future and not just upgrades for a playoff push
