Yeah... I didn't have a problem with the call.... It certainly looked odd... But Walt did see it as something that isn't always called.

No excuses for AA. He is playing against JJ Redick and Crawford. Both not defensive stalwarts.

His MIA is exactly why NYK trail by 10 at the half...

LAC did nothing special. Pierce did his usual MsG thang... They hit some 3s... But the inability of our guards to score and do much of anything offensively really hurt.

Melo was efficient and at least KP and DWIll were efforting out there.

Calderon with 4 & 3
Paul with 2 & 11

But Wes Johnson and PP have 22 points.
 
Time to go to Hack-a-Jordan in the third quarter!
DeAndre is killing us on dunks. They should do the strategy just to get him off the floor.
If jose is guarding paul in the last 5 minutes of the game, we have no shot at winning.
I miss Lance Thomas already
 
Okay...can someone please explain this to me. Clippers call a TO with 15 seconds left in the half to draw up a play. Someone explain to me why jose is guarding paul in the last defensive possession coming out of the timeout? Paul took it all the way to the rim and luckily Melo helped and changed the shot. What does this say about our coaching lol
 
CP3 is a really great player and is extremely hard to guard for anyone; however, it's a lot easier for him to get around Jose who is so slow footed than say a Gallo or a Grant. Calderon doesn't have the physical tools to keep him in front of him, and he shouldn't be asked to do that, either, by the coach.
In the 2nd half Gallo shouldve started 3rd qtr. over Jose
 
KP-Melo-RL are 10-35... AA scoreless... Jose and LG have 4 apiece...

Paul threw an elbow into RL... Tough call here.
 
Paul, to me, instigated it. Down in there throwing the first elbow into lopez's chest, then flailing both arms around, swinging, looking to fight. Double tech coming up on lopez. Tossed...Absolute nonsense. If he got the 2nd one on that last exchange with jordan, that's absolutely ridiculous. Means to me the refs didn't do a good enough job quelling the first altercation better.

Gonna have to get some kind of contribution from KOQ and/or Seraphin now w/o Lopez.

Or yeah, maybe they do go small. Clippers extending the lead now. Not looking good. Feel like the Clippers have our number the last few years. When's the last time we beat these guys--out in LA when STAT put up that great game on Griffin--Griffin had a great game too, I think that's when he put Mozgov on a poster.

It just shows they couldn't see anything egregious on the replay... Like you said CP started it, RL simply reacted to what CP did, and was pushing him away... Just the mismatch in height led to the push being near the face... But LAC have been throwing elbows and pushing all game...

I just hope they don't permit any more crap from LAC...

And as I write this a guy bumps into KP and then Jordan sets an illegal screen and then holds AA...

These refs better start calling fouls on Deandre...

I've been Lopez's biggest critic early on in the season. thought we overpaid big time for him but he's turned it around and has been playing great ball going back 10 games or so, maybe more than that.
 
Almost end of third quarter... Austin Rivers and Pablo Prigioni have 6 points and our 4 guards have 8 points.

If DeAndre did that to Calderon... Jordan wouldn't have been ejected.

They should've just called a flagrant and gave LAC 2 shots and the ball... Ejecting Lopez for that?
 
Possibly the most unwatchable quarter of basketball that I have seen in many, many years. We are getting killed and we are doing the hack-a-Jordan on every possession with minimal success. Just terrible. Robin Lopez is lucky he got ejected and doesn't have to be a part of this mess.
