Thanks for the Game Thread Rady .. I hope we improve on our ball movement and perimeter defense for the game tonite ..

RJ lacks any explosiveness. Pass comes to him and instead of jumping up for dunk, he pump fakes then goes to shoot layup and C just takes ball from
His hand.

Again, I don't care what he shoots from downtown.... but if he doesn't fix his FG % finishing at rim then forget about him ever being a good player
 
Knicks trail 62-61 at the half. Grant on pace for 50. Blazers finish second quarter on a 20-5 run. Knicks blow 14-point lead. Not entirely their fault tho.

POR attempted 24 free throws in the second quarter alone. That’s on pace for 96 FTs in a game.

Inexcusable. These officials shouldn’t be allowed back on court after halftime. I defy you to find another game in NBA HISTORY where FT disparity in any quarter is 24 to 4, in favor of road team!

We should've traded Barrett in the last two offseasons .. Barretts performance has to many negatives.

Half Time .. Knicks 61 - Blazers 62
The Knicks was holding on to a 12 pt lead throughout the 2nd quarter, as soon as MitchRob caught his 3rd foul and had to go sit on the bench .. the Knicks lost the 12 pt lead so fast, and gave the lead to the Blazers as if MitchRob was the only player in the lineup playing defense.
 
87-82 POR. 30 FT attempts to 14… which negates NY edge on threes (11-28 vs 7-26). POR getting every call, tho, and every loose 50/50 ball. It’s about “want to”… Also, Hart looking awful out there and Sims isn’t playing.

It’s beginning to look like a huge blunder not trading RJ, Grimes, Obi and 2-3 picks for Mitchell, if that was even offer Ainge floated.

They had to make that decision, to trade or extend RJ, and Leon blinked. He didn’t trade nor did he wait until last chance to extend. Now they stuck with this 100 mil mess. Still, book is written on RJ yet. He’s still young. But if I could get SGA or any improvement, I would definitely move him.

I would call GSW and see if I could get Moody, Poole, Wiseman, Kuminga for a RJ-Randle package.
 
End of 3rd Quarter .. Knicks 86 - Blazers 92
Blazers have no Liliard and no Payton in the 4th qtr. should give the Knicks a win
 
RJ and Brunson with big buckets. 116-114 NY with 13.7 remaining. I have a suspicion no matter what happens, POR going to FT mine here to tie it tho.
 
Like I thought…. No foul by refs blow whistle. Thibbs challenges it but I don’t see them overturning this. What a disgrace refs were tonight. Knicks win by 10 if not for refs.
 
Knicks have to drive and force action. Make refs swallow whistle. Don’t settle for long jumper.
 
So Brunson drives and fades away from contact and bricks shot. Had to force contact and try to draw the whistle.
 
POR has 42 to 22 FT disparity advantage after regulation. They needed every whistle to even have a chance to win. NBA certainly knows how to fix a game. I have to remind myself, this is entertainment. They under no legal demand to have this legitimate competition in a court of law.
 
Brunson missed too many easy shots in 4th. That’s where the game was lost. Mitch bricking 2 FTs, after Brunson misses a layip
And Randle rushed a brick 3…. 124-119 and that’s game set match. Officials really took a win off the board for Knicks. Maybe that helps the tank?
 
Refs make it official by calling a palm on RJ. Wasn’t a palm…. But that hasn’t stop refs all game. Wow. POR drains a 3. Good night.
