Let me be on the bandwagon to say that Iman Shumpert's days are numbered and his play is just half the reason. He has had his moments of promise and had people thinking he would develop into an all star, and with his size and athleticism I do not doubt it as a possibility. However he has shown to be a head case that thinks he is better than he really is.
Shump as a rookie...showed supreme confidence and many said he did not act like a rookie. He instantly acted like a veteran on and off the court. Inconsistent, common among players that let the game get into their heads.
Shump now...we are seeing how his ****iness is causing rifts with the team and his inconsistency has shot down his confidence as a player and he doesn't know who to blame so he blames everyone but himself...
Via Hoopshype.com = Back on Halloween night in Chicago, Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler got into a shouting match on the bench because of a defensive breakdown against the Bulls, according to a source. It would start a trend of bench blowups on the Knicks - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors/tag/new_york_knicks#sthash.wiX5Uje1.dpuf
Then later on...
MSG cameras showed Iman Shumpert yelling at Carmelo Anthony during a break in the game against the Pelicans. Shumpert appeared to be upset at Anthony for a missed defensive assignment that led to a Ryan Anderson 3-pointer in the third quarter of the Knicks' loss. Both Shumpert and Anthony downplayed the incident after the game. Shumpert called it a "defensive miscommunication." My arguement is that Iman Shumpert has an attitude that you see on players such as Terrel Owens and Dez Bryant. To yell at veterans during games when you are the one having the bad year and getting beat off the dribble tells me he is becoming a cancer in the locker room.
And let's not forget the rumors of Mike Woodson and SHump having rifts as well. I don't think Shump is liked in the locker room and his attitude and failure to play at a level he should play is messing with his head, which is unstable.
He needs a change of scenery and so do the Knicks.
The time has come to trade Shump and it is sad it is going to happen this way. We don't need a player like him on this team. He needs to be humble....peace
