I've never been a fan of the Celtics—honestly, they've always rubbed me the wrong way. But a few years back, I started to develop an unexpected respect for both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Regardless of the jersey they wear, those two are phenomenal players.
Last year, I wasn't cheering for the Celtics to win the title—I was rooting for the Mavs. But when Tatum and Brown finally earned their ring, I couldn’t help but feel happy for them. They deserved it.
Watching Tatum go down with such a brutal injury in Game 4 was tough to see. As a fan, sure, I wanted him to miss another game, but finding out it's an Achilles injury? That’s a whole different level. He's only 27, and suffering something like that at this stage of his career can be devastating, at the same time the healing process can be faster. I really hope he recovers quickly, pulls a KD and makes a successful return.
