The title of this THREAD should be "Rumor has Donnie Walsh is in pursuit
of hiring former.....", not Knicks hire former.....

I dont see owner Dolan wasting a big bundle of money on this rumor.
Dolan will consult Grunwald & Houston before making a move that will
lead to replacing one of them.
Donnie Walsh has already wasted more money in just 2 years, than Isiah
did in his Knick tour. u can start with Walsh first Knick season paying $21M
to Marbury, $10M to Curry, $8M to Malik Rose, and $10M to Mobley for no
service rendered, after buying-out Balkman $2M contract.
Owner Dolan spent way above $50M in Walsh first season for nothing in return.

All those who responded to the Melo poll above are KO members that
want Gallo & Chandler off the Knicks...

What was the name of the Smurf who is always angry and hate anything comes in his way???

Edit.... Found it :)

No matter what you say or suggest, Grouchy will be against it on principle. From his corner, he interrupts the other with systematically negative comments such as: "Me, I don't like..." On the face of it, you'd think he likes no one or anything. But deep down, he has a heart of gold.

Houston is obviously the runner up for GM job but if Warkentein gets Melo here and becomes a big piece of the puzzle, which i think he already is, then dont be suprised if Dolan gives Donnie the green light to make Warkentein the runner up

BUT

I know Houston is 2nd in command unless he needs more experience but Houston is being trained by Walsh to be the next GM....only wild card is Chris Mullin

Walsh should be allowed to stay as long as he's capable of doing the job.

Walsh found a true diamond in the rough in Landry Fields.

Walsh got us out of salary cap hell and got us Amar'e Stoudemire.

Walsh in three years has turned the organization into the joke of the NBA into a competitive team, if not yet a Championship-caliber one.

There are good future GMs out there but as long as Donnie Walsh continues to find draft picks like Landry Fields out there then he deserves to stick around. Kevin Pritchard, Warkentien, etc...but Donnie's basically removed us from the Isiah era. And it feels great.
