Felton haters are getting just what they wanted here, games like this with the man on the bench.
ZERO FAST BREAK POINTS.
of course, Melo would have made a big difference, unless he shoots 6-25...
face it, Knicks minus Melo+Felton = big suckfest

No matter what happens you can always count on Kiya to somehow put all the blame on either Melo and/or JR and give them no credit when they play well.
:agreed:
...and Shump
...and Sheed
...and Camby
These injuries are mounting. This must be addressed. OUR BIGS CAN'T STAY HEALTHY, that incudes Amare.
No bigs / snake bitten health = No chip.
Real Talk
Injuries had nothing to do with our 4-6 record in the last 10 games ....
poor substitution, poor defensive chemistry, poor rebounding, and letting two players shoot 50% of the shots taken, it didnt matter if the two players were shooting 50% or 20% in the game .. coach Woody did nothing to solve any of the above weaknesses, other than pray for a final shot win in crunchtime...
I actually agree with red and Kiya...injuries have hurt us but Woodsons substitutions have hurt us too. The return of Stat has hurt us, having Novak and Stat in the game at the same time is a bad idea. Copeland sucks at defense too but Stats even worse then him. Theres no D in Amare Stouemire
Brewer gave us strong DEFENSE in the first quarter by putting LOCK on Paul George.
Brewer didnt get any playingtime in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th quarter while Paul George ran circles around JR Smith.
I knew something was wrong when Woody let JR.Smith start the 3rd quarter, with Paul George first-step beating JR to the hoop for Camby to leave his man to pickup on George 3 to 4 times making Camby bust his chop and fall .. I couldnt blame Camby for not coming back, when the same move was being applied to Tyson Chandler .. for Camby to watch in the lockerroom TV.
Tyson was so busy keepin an eye on a cutin George at crunchtime that C-Mahinmi scored at will down-low.
Woody never called time-out to speak to JR about the no-defense effort or fix the problem of stoppin George (look at Paul George stats) .. JR Smith scoring was not needed in this low scoring game, JR couldve sat on the bench all game givin us a better chance at winning with Brewers defense, plus more ball movement with Pablo at the point.
Stat receiving the ball 20 feet out from the basket, plus the only inside plays were going to Tyson, when Tyson shouldve been screening for Stat down low like he did for Dirk in Dallas.
POOR POOR COACHING .. This type of coaching with Melo in the lineup tonite will still give the Roseless Bulls a edge to build a 20 point lead.
especially if Woody keep sleepin on Brewer for JRSmith.
Great post :thumbsup:But that's just it.
Even if Brewer was "locking down" we lacked offense (see 1st, 2nd, 3rd quarter score) and began to fall behind. Why? Because Bewer can't consistently score; his contribution comes as a result of attention teams had to give to Melo, TC, and Felt.
...and that's after Kidd gets the kick-out due to his 3pt prowess. In other words, similar to Novak they are ancillary parts useful when they are left open and the ball swings around. They are by definition one dimensional.
So coach goes with the 2nd unit (STAT, Novak & JR) for additional scoring... what happens?
Well, simply put they demonstrated why coach has them where he dos on the depth-chart. JR although scoring- 6th man potential off the bench is nice, he's limited and not a two way player. Same goes for Stat and Novak; they are limited and one dimensional.
We lost too many two-way players, then asking one dimensional players to become what they aren't. Coach doesn't dictate that, nor can control that... injuries did. And it is what it is. When we are down too many players it's wishful thinking that we can still succeed.
Now JR is expected to stop SF George? That's ridiculous.
Like I always say... "there's a reason why they were lower on the depth chart"
Because they're not as good as the guy ahead of them. Simple.
Some take lemons and make lemonade. But you can't take a steak and make ice cream.
And you damn sure can't make an omlette without the eggs. All we can do is hope and wait that we can get healthy and gel by April.
