Until we get a legit big man, we will continue sucking and no wing player will change that. You put Lebron on the Knicks, with the current front line, and the team would be a perennial 8th seed, winning 40 games a year. The anchor on the Cavs is Ilgauskas. Without Z, that team would fall apart. And frankly, I just don't see Lebron coming to the Knicks, when his wife, kids and family are all in Ohio. Why go out of your comfort zone, when the money and fame is going to be there, no matter what? And just because people in NY are sweating him, it doesn't mean that he's sweating NY. All he said was that the fans don't boo him. BIG DEAL.
And the 'other man,' Wade, has already stated that he will not play for New York, that he plans to spend his entire career on the heat.
We took Allan Houston away from Detroit, for those of you who remember, for one reason: money. If we expect to pull a top FA, in 2010, it's going to be for the same reason, most likely. Toronto has never been a popular place to play in, because it takes players away from home and taxes them at a much higher rate, so there's a huge possibility that we might be able to get Bosh. I think that's the realistic player for us. Along with Bosh, I think that, if we pick up a decent shooting guard and a good power forward, we might have a decent team.
