Man I'm Hoping We Don't Get LeBron

Could you imagine all the buzz that will be surrounding the Nets once they're the best team in the NBA and move to Brooklyn?

In addition to the Knicks I also root for the Mavericks. They have won 50 games every year for like 10 years. I will rooting for them in these years playoffs. If they ever went out and somehow traded for Kobe and then were to beat the Lakers, it would be hollow. I don't want them to get Kobe. I want them to beat Kobe. So, in that sense, I hear you.

However, the Knicks have been out of the playoffs for years. They have stunk for years. They now have a chance to get a player who is, by far IMO, the best player in the league. And he is 25 years old. And, it is quite clear that he is one of the best basketball players ever. EVER. IN HIS ABSOLUTE PRIME.

You have a chance to sign a 25 year old LeBron and you are a Knick fan and you are hoping you can't sign LeBron as a free agent? Really?

Larry Bird was 23 years old when he was a ROOKIE in 1980. . Can you imagine a Celtics fan who would have said "I hope we don't draft Larry Bird from Indiana State. Lets draft Purvis Short or Michael Ray Richardson and then we can BEAT Larry!"

The Knicks have a chance at one of the best players EVER @ 25 years old.

And as a fan, you don't want that to happen. I don't get it.

Me either.

You must be out of your mind. Did you get released from the psych ward early?! Someone needs to get fired from that place, this isn't safe -.-

If you were the best player in the NBA, which players would you want to have on your team, John Wall and Brook Lopez or Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari?

if Lebron was here this crowd would be like a huge parade every night in MSG....NY Knick fans are thirsty for a superstar.

The thing about that is, the Celtics DRAFTED him.If we drafted LeBron then he'd be our homegrown player.

The Nets owned the tri state area throughout the first decade of the 00's and once they get Lebron James, John Wall and a new head coach, they will be sitting on the throne.
lol at this bandwagon fan.when the nets where winning ecf championships nobody gave a shit about them.they could build the ****ing taj majal in brooklyn for the nyets, and its still wouldn't compare to the mecca.amd that's all that matters.
msg>>>>>>>>>>>>>>brooklyn and your moms.

lmfao im dying...imagine bron bron on 'newark nets'. personally i hate lebron, hes cocky as shit and dances entirely too much -_- (id def rather have melo next year and bosh with a bunch of role players).

but we play in the garden not in an old train station across the street from a target and a wild wings in fort greene hahahaha

So you only want players that the Knicks "drafted" on the team? Well, you won't be getting any new good players any time soon. If you rely on the draft to get you players, the next few years as a Knicks fan will be VERY bleak. Fact is, Bernard King was not even drafted by the Knicks.

Let me tell you something.

I don't know who else was in the Garden last night, but I was.

The feeling in there was electric..... I have been to soo many Knicks games over the past 10 years, and it has not felt like it did last night in about that many.

Bring LeBron, bring Bosh, bring Wade, bring CP3, bring Amare...... It DOES NOT MATTER.

If McGrady can stimulate this kind of atmosphere, 2 better players are going to blow the ****ing roof off. I can't wait to see what happens, and I hope some of you were there with me last night to feel the energy.

LETS GO KNICKS!! LETS GO KNICKS!!

I know what you're saying, but I really don't like the bandwagon surrounding he'd give us.

For me, him being the top guy wanted in the league, is a part of it, but let's say I considered Dirk to be the best player.I don't believe he is, but let's say he is.I'd much rather have the guy who I think is the best, but not rated to be then just buy somebody like LeBron.

Listen, I don't dislike LeBron, I'd cheer the Knicks still.I understand everybody's feelings and point of view. This is just me.I'm not here to tell people who they should want.

I hope those fags keep losing cause the balls are not gonna bounce to give the nets the #1 Draft Pick. Even if they do get wall him and lopez aint gonna give you much more than Lopez and devin harris at least not for a couple more years. **** the nets son

I see what RJ is trying to say. And I HATE Bron Bron right now. I want to see him fail in Cleveland. That being said I can not deny his greatness. If he does sign with this team, we become contenders already. He's that good. If I had the option, I'd want to have a lot of pieces that could take him. But in the end he's a world class athlete, and he is the best basketball player in the world. If he does sign with the Knicks I'd have to deal away with my prejudicies. But if we could I'd love to rebuild like the Blazers did. That's why no matter who we sign, Gallo will be my favorite player. And that is also the reason I love David Lee. Yea I know he doesn't play that great of defense, but look at how hard hes worked. He was a "talentless bum" coming out of college. He could grab a couple rebounds here and there. But look at how much better he's gotten in New York. Building throught the draft def gives you a closer connection with the players. All that being said, if Bron Bron wants to come to New York, we do it, because in the end we fans, and the organization wants a trophy. Lebron can do that.

:agreed: very well put my friend

I want the knicks to be winners again, championship contenders with a real chance to be the best team in the NBA. If that means lebron or Bosh or Wade etc... I will take them. I want the knicks to be the model franchise with hard working players who want to win. How that occurs and who that is remains to be seen. Starting right now and into next season and beyond, this is what I would like to see.

I see what the op is saying, but what the hell? If the Knicks have a chance to get one of the best, get him or them. The 90's Knicks were great because even though we didn't have the best player we competed, & drove the best to the limit all with pride. It produced great games, good memories, but no championships. It's good to have pride and confidence in what the Knicks have, but at some point there needs to be a championship. How about we have the best and take down the rest of the league like Yankees?

Boston, & L.A. won with having stacked teams. In the NBA today that's the only way you are going to have a chance at a title.
