Official Trade Rumors Thread

Philly and Atlanta are supposedly discussing a Noel for Teague swap.
Guess they don't think Horford is coming back. Hawks will probably pick up a pick or 2 and filler to match salaries. Good move by PHI they haven't had a PG there since MCW.

If Philly wants they can just pony up a nice offer to Schoeder in free agency and not seriously entertain that trade. It could happen just because of a number game but I doubt it. For the record Horford will be heavily pursued by Rockets/Celtics/Magic all willing to offer him Max.

I wouldn't rule out POR either... If this rumor has any validity, it's bc ATL is trying to scare another Teague suitor to offer more OR PHI really has seen enough of Noel and wants to dump him while he has value.

Personally, I'm not sold on Noel as a consistent impact player. Plus, with Sarcic and Embed "possibly" and finally arriving... Anyway, who know. Still, I imagine PHI moves Noel or Okafor. Two much of a logjam in the paint.

Another reason I hate the Rose move because it's a little premature. Since the Bulls clearly looked at Rose as a salary dump where's there big rush to trade for him? Uhhhhgggg hate the trade we made...meanwhile

Edit: I shouldn't say salary dump per say because Bulls aren't saving salary but they clearly didn't want to commit to him and pay him long term money. Something he ignorantly spoke on early last summer he'd be looking forward to in being a free agent again.

With about 5 teams guaranteed to pursue him besides Atl all this means is his price tag will be super expensive this summer

He could really help a good team...to be honest if the Warriors lose Barnes he'd be solid fit there(assuming they can't convince Durant)

ESPN reporting that Bulls listened to offers, but are not shopping Jimmy Butler. Reported that apparently Boston made the biggest push. It's reported by Ramona Shelborne, so take the info with a grain of salt.

She's been solid recently with her reporting...not saying she's gospel but she's improved with being a credible source or having them herself.

With the word that the Knicks' interest in Kevin Durant is heating up on the heels of the Derrick Rose trade, Phil Jackson Thursday night's NBA Draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in a different mindset then before the deal.

That, plus the notion that players who they liked coming in appeared to be falling outside of the draft, like Wichita State's sharpshooter Ron Baker, made for an unexpectedly boring night for Knicks fans.

In the end that may be for the best, as the team is looking toward July 1 to really add names to the roster. You'd think that their goal is to write the bigger checks first, and that starts with Durant.

I've heard for some time that the free agent forward, along with his sponsor NIKE, are enamored with the Big Apple, and it appears the Rose trade, Kristaps Porzinigis and the allure of possibly recruiting even more players in 2017 has Durant even more interested.

It is no secret that the Thunder, who did well to land Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and the rights to power forward Domantas Sabonis Thursday night from Orlando, have a difficult road in the Western Conference with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs in their way.

For Durant, coming to the East would mean a potential annual beeline right to the Conference Finals. For NIKE, having their number one NBA player in the world's biggest market would be a huge step forward considering the impact Under Armour stars have had for the company's revenues over the past year. If Under Armour's sales are up 31 percent, that means NIKE's are down. And in business it's about changing that.

Despite Durant's own words that his decision will be basketball-related, big markets are still huge factors. And the global appeal Stephen Curry has would certainly be challenged with Durant in New York.

The time after the draft leading up to July 1 is the proverbial calm before the storm in the NBA, but expect things to heat up big time.

Fans should certainly proceed with caution as to not feel as devastated as they were when Lebron chose South Beach in 2010 when he had interest in New York, but this is a totally different situation. They have Phil, flexibility and Porzingis, who Durant has publicly referred to as a "unicorn" for his unique and potential once-in-a-generation skill set. Buckle up Knicks fans, things are about to get very interesting.

In what has to be the funniest (or saddest) moment in the PJ era:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...-agent-meetings-at-single-site-164954322.html

"Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is planning to host free-agency meetings at a singular location starting July 1, league sources told The Vertical.

Durant?s representatives at Roc Nation are working to solidify invitations with the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Thunder, league sources said.
The meetings are expected to take place in New York, but teams are still awaiting word on a location.

The Thunder remain the frontrunners to re-sign Durant, likely on a one-plus-one-year deal that will allow Durant to return to free agency in the summer of 2017, league sources said. But more than any other rival suitor, the Warriors have Durant's attention, league sources said.

Durant?s public and private criteria for the free-agent selection process have pertained to a singular focus: the chance to win titles immediately.

Several teams that have interest in Durant ? the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards ? could still find audiences with him, but appear to be outsiders in the process now.

Durant is planning to leave on a publicity tour in the Far East on July 9, and a decision is expected before the departure date, league sources said."

If Durant is holding meetings in NY and PJ can't even get a face-to-face meeting.. And BOS along with Pat Riley get an invite... Well, PJ... That would be humiliating to the org (and you should give Dolan back a lot of his money).

I loathe Donnie Walsh, but at least he was able to wheel himself in front of Lebron...

First Aldridge... Now (potentially) this? Yikes.

anyway, I think DeRozan, Noah, and money to spread around for bench players is a better allocation of resources... But, still... PJ was brought here to sway the big free agent to come to NY... The dude can't even get in the room?

Instead of chasing and begging KD for a sit down... Show love to DeRozan and make him your target!
