3PM and no trades announced for the Knicks and Wolves, DRose and BJ are still Knicks. Biggest deal was the Taj, Dougie Buckets for Morrow and Lauvergne, which doesn't make sense for the Bulls without OKC sending over Payne.

Update: OKC did send over Payne and CHI sent a 2nd to OKC.

Good news is we didn't get fleeced. Bad news is that we didn't get anything. For what it's worth, most teams didn't seem to do much of anything at the deadline either.
 
Pels just released Terence Jones. Just to cut a guy that had a fabulous game against the Cavs is unreal, I think he can help a few teams, if I were the Cavs I would sign him rather than Larry Sanders.

Amen!!!! What a dweeb.... Alexi Schved remains Phil's lone deadline acquisition since he's arrived. In essence, he traded a 1st round pick (Grant) just to borrow Rose for 1 season.

Welcome to the club Jax, long list of NYK GMs who gave away first rounders for nothing.
 
This is how bad Phil is.... Minny had deal ready to go but Phil balked.... then Phil decided to do the straight up swap, Rubio for Rose, after realizing Minny wouldn't blink.... then Minny said F.U. Phil.... forget it. No deal. Too late.

NYK had other deals ready to go, but first needed to move Rose.

So, nothing ends up happening.

but i'll tell you what, i'm glad that AT THE VERY LEAST he didn't get fully suckered into giving away any draft picks. now THAT would've really pissed me off.

That's what I said last week. This team is not going to improve at all for the next 2yrs. Magic Johnson newbie on the job got work done. Phil is tragically awful

I can forgive botching the MIN negotiations. Fine. You held out for Rubio plus another asset, and MIN balked. No big deal.... they killed Divac for not holding out for the best deal....

But. It to have a plan B or C, have another trick up your sleeve? Not to have 1 other team give you a 1st for BJ, KOQ, LEE, or Rose.

Well, Phil, what does that tell you about the junk you've assembled. Nobody wants these players? Or you can't negotiate? Zen arrogance doesn't work well in the board room huh?

Or let's dumb it down back on his end, if he was asking for more but couldn't get it but wanted to settle then why hasn't he been able to finesse this same thinking on the examples you provided? Take for instance if he wanted a 1st rounder for all those players(which in reality is a joke) then why couldn't he manage to come down off the asking price and stock up on 2nd round picks?

Just think if Phil for every yr he's been here acquired 2-4 2nd round picks during the course of the season and off-season he could parlay those picks into something else. Such as trading into the first round of a draft, filling out the roster with WHG type talent, or anchoring them to other players to then get desired package wanted.

What he has done or let's say hasn't done isn't more unique than had Dolan hired anyone of us off KOL. I'm also tired of seeing this every yr that Phil managed not to get fleeced. We didn't pay him $12mil to not have something bad happen, we hired him to make something good-great happen!


Mark my words again, we're not going to be good until Phil and Melo are out of here. So the next 2yrs get used to the same or worse.
 
You can't argue with what you just wrote. You've been saying it for a while.... some of us have extended Melo-Phil every xourt at and chance to prove the naysayers wrong but both have failed to even come close to flipping the narrative.

Melo only cares about scoring and his brand and Phil took the obnoxious some of money and doesn't want to really put in the work.

NYK is doomed until 2019.... hopefully, we snag a few lottery picks in 2017 and 2018 that compliment KP and WHG....
 
Well, deadline was a huge disappointment. The only indignity this franchise has left this season to inflict on its fans is winning games. We need to lose and lose hard. Top 5 pick or bust

If PJ and Mills can't make deals they should at least tell Horn to play the young guys and hold guys like DRose, KP and Melo to fewer minutes. Normally doing that results in fewer wins but with the Knicks luck they'll go on a MIA Heat winning streak, make the playoffs and fall out of the lottery.

It's not happening Tig, there's no evidence this team can put together any kind of meaningful winning streak. We will win a few games we probably shouldn't though and mess up draft position. Miami has won all those games and still not a playoff team.

We're not making the playoffs, not gonna happen, not happening!

i hate to break it to you like this and be the voice of doom and gloom, but... it won't matter who we draft. this knicks organization is suspect at best. whoever we get will be ruined.
let me take it a step even further... if i were a player in the draft this summer, i'd be PRAYING the knicks don't pick me, even at the risk of falling to the 2nd round somehow because of it.

So true .. we do not have to worry bout making the playoffs ....
The way Phil been allowing Horn to coach n substitute this season (one on one offense and one on one defense with small-ball rotation) the crew of Dolan/Phil/Horn/and Iso-Melo been in cahoots to tanking the season for a Lottery pick.

All the Phil vs Melo tweet-drama last month were to switch fans mind off the deliberate tanking to the old blame-game
