The Knicks are on a 10 game WIN streak, built on defensive STOPS in the final quarter.
Our scoring were 35% of our wins, our defense to outscore oponents were 65% of our 10 wins in the final quarter of each game.

Utah 90-83
Orlando 106-94
Toronto 99-94
Toronto 110-84
Boston 100-85
Memphis 108-101
Charlotte 111-102
Boston 108- 89
Miami 102-90
Atlanta 95-82

Its been a decade since we had a 10 game win streak .. 1999 offense/defense energy from:
Ewing/Camby/Kurt/Johnson/Spree/Houston/Childs/Ward

I would like to give this 10 game win streak to coach Woodson, but the margin of points on each win goes to a starting PF-Kenyon Martin toughness tandem with Jason Kidds leadership for Team-STOPS in the 4th quarter.
:thumbsup::gony: :thumbsup:

K-Mart was KEY factor 4 this streak

look @ scores just two oponnets break 100 pts others lil bit over 90

imagine Sheed would be active

only negative no reserve for Melo Tyson

comparing to heat bench

miller battier allen lewis all of them have years of playoff experience

Shumpert just 2nd year Copeland rookie Prigioni rookie with only Kidd Thomas and Camby but their age

so this is diffrences

we cant count for MELO 30-50 each game
this must be also team effort

Nice thread starter Kiya gotta give credit. Woody deserves a lot of credit for shuffling the deck with all the injuries and coaching up the troops. Woody can coach as you see JR now improved shot selection. And you see how disgusted he looks when them cats mess up. For real his arms are crossed, lips pursed, and eyes all sad looking like someone just kicked his dog. But the points are coming from our 1-2 scoring punch of Melo/jr don't get a twisted. Jr would be hands down 6th man of the if it wasn't for former Knick chucker Jamal Crawford. Anyway big ups to Melo and Co for hanging tough going for first division title in a decade:).

Well JR just scored tech in Hawks game but he changed everything in his gameplay.

Crawford vs JR well Crafword is just other Allan Houston and he will not jump and dunk like JR this is just better jumpshooter such guy is missing in this team regular jump shooter only Melo is playing like that.

I know you'll never admit it but Jr and Melo are the main reasons for this streak.

u are right, Melo miss the first 2 games with injuries, and it was Kenyon Martin big-body toughness that open up big gaps for JR to take the ball inside to score (something we been missing from JR all season). Plus Kidd average 9 minutes of playingtime in each 4th quarter, adding steals, assists, rbds, and no turnovers.
Do research on Kidd & K.Martin 17 game win streak their last season as Nets...

Going to have to give the credit to Woody for the win streak, juggling a lineup with a lot of injuries including your defensive stalwart in TC and one of your marquee players in Stat.

A lot of teams like the Cavs, Wiz and Lakers blame their records and under performance on injuries but the Knicks have weathered the injuries. KMart was huge but a couple of 20 minute players like Kidd and him don't get all the credit for the win streak.

The team played a good role in the streak .. however the decision-making of Kidd & K.Martin on the court played a huge-role during the streak .. Copeland's points, Felton points, Shump points, were not decisions of Woodson, Melo, or JR.

Like I mention, do some research on Kidd & K.Martin strong leadership to go on a 17 game win streak the day after they got their headcoach Byron Scott fired as a Nets.

OKC and Pacers will be key games in schedule OKC will be aired nationaly i want see K-mart healthy for this game.

WOW! The Knicks stretch the winning streak to 11 games  .. without any arguement or debate the 11 game win belong to coach Woodson's tag-team duo of Melo & JR. The two combine for 71 points taking 50 shot attempts in a 101 - 83 win over the Bucks.

Well, it seems nothing change about the Knicks bigman situation, a healthy Tyson Chandler returns to the lineup, and automatically a strong/healthy Kenyon Martin becomes to injured to perform. LOL

We are talking about Kenyon Martin!

Our persistency this season in given Melo 40+ minutes at the PF spot vs a small-ball eastern conference is going to catchup to us in the postseason games vs Hibbert/West/George or Noah/Boozer/Deng in a series.
I guess its all good when our season was all about Melo getting the 2012-13 scoring title...

Damn! WTF we got two Sunday afternoon games vs OKC & Pacers .. or better said, OKC & Pacers frontcourt bigmen lineup: Perkins/Abaka/Durant and Hibbert/West/George
Plus on a Thursday night we bumb-heads with the Bulls frontcourt bigmen lineup of Noah/Boozer/Deng.

With coach Woodson letting Melo play 40+ minutes at the PF spot, which of the 3 games will we win???

Yeah, there will be a Big-Apple at the end of the tunnel ...... 3 must-watch games out of the 7 games.
We have two nationally covered Sunday afternoon games with OKC & Pacers, plus a game Thursday night in between the two sundays vs the Bulls.
Coach Woodson frontcourt decision-making all season (C-Tyson & PF-Melo) will be challenge in the above 3 games.

C-Tyson vs Perkins/Noah/Hibbert
PF-Melo vs Ibaka/Boozer/West
SF-Shump vs Durant/Deng/George
Who have the toughest task???

Knicks factor has been KMart, Melo's resurgence from his injury, JR's improved shot selection.

It wouldve been nice if Woodson wouldve worked Camby in the rotation with K.Martin, then when Tyson return add a 24 minute Tyson to the rotation with Camby & K.Martin.
But that is not part of coach Woodson & Melo plans...

12 in a row!

Great win at OKC while playing short handed upfront. Melo has been playing his ass off on the boards, but still would like to see Martin start at the 4 once healthy, especially in the playoffs despite Melo's great effort.

:thumbsup:Somebody hand coach Woodson the BIG-APPLE award $$$$$$

12th straight win
50th win of the season
Outscoring the top scoring team OKC Thunders 125-120 in Oklahoma
Having 6 Knicks players score in double-digits
We played 48 minutes of "TEAM-BALL" on both sides of the court.

This became one of our TOP-3 must watch games this season...
