One type of player is one who has a team 1st mentality, his goal and desire is to play in and win an NBA Championship.

The other type wants to make as much money as possible while in the association, winning is secondary because the owner of the franchise either has no clue on how to build a winner, or he doesn't care.


One type of owner wants to win an NBA Championship, BY SPENDING MONEY WISELY they re-load with a thought out plan on how to get a competitive team that the players compliment each other. SEE SPURS

The other type wants to make as much money as possible , by just fielding a team with one star player who competes to make the playoffs but never win big in the association.

So the conclusion of the matter is once a player understands the owners "TRUE INTENTIONS" he has a choice to make.
Leave for free agency to sign with a winner or make more$$$$ money playing with a mediocre franchise that has no intentions of strategically putting together a team to compete for a Championship. SEE MELO
