You have complete control over all decisions, the Knicks are 3-6 coming off an epic loss to the Timberwolves. The team seems to have lost its confidence. What do you do?

1. Extend Donnie's Contract?
2. Fire D'Antoni? ( If so when and who replaces him?)
3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation? (i.e. Bench Gallo)
4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? (Shot Selection, defense etc..)
5. Is there anyone who should be hired?

1. Extend Donnie's Contract? Yes let him finish what he started

2. Fire D'Antoni? ( If so when and who replaces him?)

End of season if Knicks do not make playoffs, Give me any defensive minded coach.

3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation? (i.e. Bench Gallo)

Bench Gallo, give me a veteran defensive squad that can push for playoffs now we will develop talent during offseason or not at all if we can trade Gallo and friends for Melo and Paul:

PG Felton
SG Fields
SF Chandler
PF STAT
C Turiaf

4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? (Shot Selection, defense etc..)

Cut the threes, more movement on offense, emphasis on post and interior play cutting slashing etc. off of Amare and possibly Wilson. The Pick N' Roll could use some work, but w/ Felton and Amare's turnovers it doesn't look like its going to be a go to play.

5. Is there anyone who should be hired?

Defensive Coordinator Mike D bitches and moans at Douglas when he doesn't get over a screen in a game but it's more like Coach's fault cause he doesn't review these things with his team during practice. This has got to be one of the Worst prepared teams in the league right now.

Fire D'Antoni
Extend Donnie and let him hire Chris Mullin as the GM
Then we fire everyone on the coaching staff except Phil Weber because he helped Amare with his jumpshot.
Then we bench Gallo and make the starting lineup:
Felton
Walker
Fields
Amare
Mozgov

we then trade Mason, Gallo, Randolph, Chandler, 1st round pick and four 2nd round picks for Melo...then we sign a few free agents including Earl Barron..why not? lol

Then we celebrate a REAL new era.

The Knicks are Back
1. Extend Donnie's Contract? yes, have the option for Walsh to re-up past next year. and i let him choose who runs the team after him.
2. Fire D'Antoni? ( If so when and who replaces him?) at the end of the month, herb williams till the end of the season, ( let him finally have his chance to run the team ) with a chance at keeping the position permanent
3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation? (i.e. Bench Gallo) Start chandler and have turiaf run at the 5. and give Randolph a consistent 30 mins a game; ranging anywhere from the 3-5 positions
4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? (Shot Selection, defense etc..) defense, ball movement (off and on ball ), and penetration.
5. Is there anyone who should be hired? if herb doesnt show leadership and ability to run team JVG back for round 2. and finally bring in Ewing to help our big men develop

1. Extend Donnie's Contract? maybe,
2. Fire D'Antoni? Flush the toliet, already.
3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation? keep Wilson, Stat (of course), Felt, Moz, Douggie, Fields, Turiuf, walker, use the rest to get Mello and maybe a rusty old rebounder for boards, breathers, and fouling...
4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? Defense, always was the core of the Knicks.
5. Is there anyone who should be hired? M. Jackson as HC, he might can do something special with these guys

1. No, Donnie Walsh is the one who destroyed the team and traded away two first round picks for a washed up Tracy McGrady.

I'd replace him with any proven GM who has a history of winning and has a backbone.

2. Fire D'Antoni? Yes. I'd replace him with Patrick Ewing.

3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation?
PG Felton SG Fields SF Chandler PF Stoudemire C Turiaf
Bench: PG/SG Douglas, SF Gallinari PF Randolph C Mozgov

4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? Shot selection, low post presence(Amare Stoudemire, Anthony Randolph, and Wilson Chandler) half court offense with Amare Stoudemire posting up early and often and Felton driving to the basket and going to the free throw line.

People who I would keep: Stoudemire(20+ ppg player), Felton(good pg), Chandler(good 3rd scoring option), Fields(good rookie).
People Who I would trade: Anyone not mentioned above.

5. Is there anyone who should be hired? Patrick Ewing (Head Coach), Mark Jackson(Assistant Coach) and Keep Herb Williams(Assistant Coach).
Any GM who likes drafting defensive minded, low post centers and likes trading for and signing quality point guards and shooting guards; GM has to have a backbone.

1. Extend Donnie's Contract?

No, lets see what happens before we do this. I think hes doing aright so far, could be doing better but he walked into a tough situation but I do think that he needs to make his own decisions, I think that D'antoni mighta had some influence in some of his decisions.

2. Fire D'Antoni? ( If so when and who replaces him?)

Part of me would love to fire this dikkhead now. I see some posters saying we should give him 20 games, some sayin 40 games. 40 games probably does make more sense but alotta us knicks fans are short on patience after all these years of embarrassment and failure. So far, Im not a fan of Mikes coaching. Hes given the team the green light to chuck up 3's, the offense looks very disorganized and the defense is only good when Turiaf is on the court.

3. What tweaks do you make to your starting lineup/rotation? (i.e. Bench Gallo)

pg-Felton
sg-Fields
sf-Chandler
pf-Stoudamire
C-Turiaf

4. What needs to be emphasized in practice? (Shot Selection, defense etc..)

Theres a long list of things offensively that need to be worked on. The players have been to stagnant, not moving and cutting enough. Amare cant be taking shots when hes being triple teamed but thats when other players need to cut to the hoop or pop out instead of watching. Too many 3 pointers, its disgusting. And they need to attack the hoop more.

Our defense has been weak. Amare is soft, the only time the defense is respectable is when Turiaf is on the court. Does D'antoni go over defensive matchups and have any defensive strategy for different teams? It doesnt appear so.

5. Is there anyone who should be hired?

Antoni needs to put his ego aside and here a defensive specialist as an assistant coach. Whats Bruce Bowen doing these days?

Donnie Dantoni combination is possibly the worse in Knicks history.

some of you give Walsh all this delusional credit for fixing the Knicks. you can't deny he fixed their cap but he failed in the bigger goal which was to get LeBron and some other big free agent, him and that Dirty Sanchez Dantoni. what good was clearing all the cap space when they had nothing to show for it now, current team is worse than the 2006-2007 Knicks.

get rid of them both and that puppet choir boy Gallo.

I'd keep: Amare, Felton, Douglas, Fields and Chandler...On the ropes (not sure) lets go with Azibuke, Gallo and Turiaf. The rest I think are cheerleaders at this point..Get rid of Dantoni and hire someone better...gotta be someone...Walsh Suck too

If I had complete control I would force Dolan to sell the team.

When you have that type of rare, out of control incompetence at the top of the ladder; it's invariably going to leak down and contaminate everything below it one way or another.

Only true salvation is getting a GM so powerful in his own right that Dolan basically becomes his lap dog.

Think Isiah..but instead of world-class fail type of skills...someone actually good.

When that queer-bearded mutt Dolan didn't sell to The Russian it killed. We are stuck with this donkey until he dies or takes enough direct humiliation that he goes quietly into the nite.

At one of his "concerts". I heard a Knick fan heckled him with "hey! James! Do us a favor and quit your day job"
