Knicks top tired Bulls, 91-107

The New York Knicks won their 4th straight game (for the second time this season) and returned to .500 (14-14 / 7-7 / 7-7) after last night victory over an exhausted Chicago team, at the Garden, 91-107.

The Bulls were coming after losing a 4OT game at home the other night against the Detroit Pistons where Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose combined 110 minutes on the court and had to make the trip to New York without Pau Gasol (resting), while the Knicks had just defeated the punchbag of the league that same night, with their starters rested in the last quarter.

New York took advantage of this situation with Carmelo Anthony leading the Knicks with 27 points and 7 rebounds.

“Obviously Chicago was completely wiped out tonight, so we can’t look at it any differently than that. But we’ll take the win.”

Joakim Noah quickly helped the Bulls to build an early lead 12-2 in the start of the game but the Knicks bounced back quickly and got back in charge with 2 minutes remaining from the first quarter. The lead never changed after that and the Bulls didn’t even came close as it was all Knicks basketball.

Arron Afflalo was just 2 points away from hist third 20 points game in a row and finished the night with 18 buckets (while shooting 8-14 from the field), 4 rebounds and 3 assists while Lance Thomas added 13 off the bench shooting nearly perfect.
