The way things are flying with the Melo No Trade-Clause, and the trading of Melo to the next team .. its more like Dolan has all the say-so in Melo's No Trade-Clause and when Melo get traded, and it dont look like Melo will be traded this season.

Melo's wife has told Melo don't you go no where ! LOL

Melo got a no trade claus he knows teams would ship him to an undesirable city on a team that is much younger that's re-building for all his rebellious attitude towards management.

Melo is playing for himself no, his best chance of winning anything was with the Denver Nuggets with Chauncey Billups as Pg.

No good to great team will trade for Carmelo Anthony and Phil knows that, he doesn't play winning basketball as a starter and he has too much pride to come off the bench.

So Carmelo will play out his mediocrity in NY and make his Money and please his wife and kid.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Wolves have inquired about the availability of Derrick Rose.
The Wolves are "among several teams" to reach out to the Knicks regarding a potential Rose deal, but it's not clear what Minnesota is offering. Rose will be a free agent this summer, so the Knicks will have to keep their asking price down. Rose played seven seasons under coach Tom Thibodeau, so he should be able to hit the ground running if he was moved to Minnesota. However, unless Ricky Rubio is part of the proposed deal, Rose would lose a lot of fantasy value on the Wolves.

DRose in play. Thibs has to be trading Rubio though no players are mentioned. Phil has to be sold on Rubio because he's got a couple of years left on his contract and he didn't have much success with
our last Spanish PG. They want Quinn but I'd take back Payne.

Thibs knows Rose, obviously, and with Wiggins-KAT.... Minny is smart enough to have learned from the Marburg-KG fiasco....

It's downright HARD to convince legitimate free agent A-dawgs to sign up for playing in the cold MW region.... From my experience, you don't find nice people than what roams around out there in Minnesota.

So, what do you do? Thibs signs off on a player like Rose.... says let's bring in a player to help this young team reach another level.

They drafted Dunn last year, have Levine, and now you bring in Rose and you have 3 options in the 4th quarter.

Rose won't make these kids better, but he brings something to the table and that helps alleviate some of the burden on Wiggins and KAT.

Again, this is a case of a team and a market having to settle.... overpay for at least a C+ free agent.

So, you bring in Rose now and have a few months to recruit him and sell him on a Minny (which is close enough to CHI where it just might work).

If this means sacrificing Rubio.... why not?

Knicks get a Euro baller to pair with their other Euro ballers, and they get a pass first PG who can orchestrate an offense and play defense.

You know, Rubio and then sigma free agent like PJ Tucker... geez, toss in a top 10 pick.... this team could be watchable next season.

Dare we say it? 40 wins?

Maybe this is why you don't give Melo away.

The Celtics have reportedly "talked intermittently" with the Clippers about Blake Griffin, but a deal "is extremely unlikely."

Griffin is set to hit free agency this summer, so the Celtics aren't going to throw away assets at the deadline when they can simply pursue him during the offseason if they still have cap space. The Pacers aren't returning Boston's calls about Paul George, so it sounds like Jimmy Butler remains their primary target with the deadline looming.

As for DMC, people need to remember something: Sactown is really close to the Bay Area.... almost the same market. The owner made a shrewd (and possibly vindictive) business move to do something to detail the GSW train. Anything to prevent an entire generation of northern CA fans from being GSW fans can't hurt.

Maybe it's true, what some are reporting, that they LoVe Heild.... and maybe this is a move that is addition via subtraction.... and thatbthey decided they wouldn't re-sign DMC.... so they moved on.... and shipping him to a spot that might potentially derail GSW this year or next? Well, gravy.

The Suns had a a better offer,Virtually Guaranteed they would have gotten 2 better picks out of that deal.
The Kings knocked it back because
a) They aren't trying to win
b) They didn't want knight

The Suns deal was supposedly Knight,Warren,Len, PHX 2017 1st, MIA 2018 1st

I guess the Suns deal was the one Divac was talking about as being better. Reporters asked him why he didn't take the offer when it was made 2 days ago but was evasive implying players agents were the problem.

Said he pulled the trigger on the Pels offer afraid the offers would get worse as they got nearer the deadline. Divac is a joke of a GM.

Head coach Thibs know Rubio lack of defense effort is 65% of the Wolves losing record, and another season with Rubio will get Thibs FIRED. Trading Rubio to a losing Knicks club to receive a half season of ISO-Rose gives coach Thibs a 70% chance of having a winning 2017-18 season.
Rubio has never been NBA material .. the Knicks trading for Rubio will be the same as the Knicks 2013 trade for Andrea Bargnani.

Rubio is an awful, just awful, shooter and like Kiya already said, generally poor defensive player. On the plus side, he doesn't shoot much and is a very good passer. A trade of Rose for Rubio better include something else nice for us, otherwise what's the point.

The rebuilding process of the 23-34 New Orleans Pelicans having 5 dynamic rotation players to build around in Anthony Davis / Cousins / Terrence Jones / Jrue Holiday / Frazier are a great beginning .. the Pelicans may have problems from hiring a small-ball SSOL head coach Alvin Gentry whom showed little ability of coaching big-men lineup, especially when he had Shaq and Amare. The Pelicans need to re-think about rehiring their previous head-coach for the Twin-Towers of Cousin/Davis.

so a 'not so good to lousy team' will trade for him???? like who??? how about a couple of examples...
my take is the the notrade clause means 'dick'.. a good team doesn't want him, and a lousy team sucks with him or without him...

so the conclusion is that I agree with ya he is playing out his time in ny... lucky us...
