The spurs are simply amazing, they have the deepest team in the NBA, there Bench is scary & even their extra bench players are scary, i think they take it all this year.

I agree with you IF stat stays healthy and learns to play defense.

What a big if that is. 11 years in the league and had zero intentions on playing defense. even healthy his offensive skill set and post moves aren't even a tenth of a percent of duncans. And I would be worried about Amares back. They don't go away over the summer. Lin has a lot more to learn. 2 weeks of glory in no way translate to stardom. plz don't be fooled. Plus Melo, Amare and Lin all need to ball to be affective.

I'm being sarcastic, some these idiots are anointing Lin the GOAT after 2 weeks, which is why we are a mock of an organization.

Players get these unreal expectations and then flop because of all the pressure on them.

If Lin doesn't average 20 and 10 next year he'll be considered a failure when realistically all he needs to be is a 14 and 7 player

All the sarcastic garbage remarks should be aim & directed at our two year 9 game postseason performance, or at the NO-Gellin ISO-offense in our first 23 games of the 2011-12 season.

Jeremy Lin became a Knicks star-player because he co-exist on offense/defense with several teammates.....Tyson Chandler, Stat, Jefferies, Novak, Fields, and Shump all gelled well in lineups with Lin-Sanity.

Anthony/Lin/Stoudemire can be Ginobili/Parker/Duncan I swear to you

Anthony isn't even better than Parker or Ginobili....Parker/Ginobili/Duncan is probably the most successful trio of all time. They all play smart, play defense, share the ball, can shoot consistently and most importantly can PASS and MOVE the ball. Not too much iso in San Antonio.

Woodson is a b*tch and will bend over for Melo-iso-ball.

We're a crap team and you're no different from the Isiahsexuals from 2004-2009 who claimed Eddy Curry and Crawford were going to lead the Knicks far.

Stop the hype.

Spurs had the highest efficiecy in offense and they ran only one isolation more than 100 time: Tony Parker. And that wasnt even efficient at all.

Pov basically runs the same system as D'Antoni, where two players are set at the 3-point wings, spreading the floor and PG starts attacking from the top of the key. All players are potential options. Ball moves from one player to another, and if there is any slight weakness in defense, any player has the option to expose it. This is team ball at its best!

I notice from your threads u are confuse about the NBA....
Phoenix Suns would still be a challenging 2nd round postseason team (today) with Amare in coach Gentry's lineup. Amare 11 year career has never held the ball pass 5 seconds, not in Marbury, Nash, or Felton offense. How do u think these PG stayed in the top-5 in assist with Amare in their lineup?

Jeremy Lin is no-different from any of the struggling ball players workingout hard each day to get in the door of the NBA.
Lin's tryouts in Houston & GS were two teams who already had a load of decent guards under contract with their two starting-guards (Lowry/Martin & Curry/Ellis) being the leader of the team averaging 38 minutes per game.
Tyson Chandler welcome Jeremy Lin to be the Knicks starting PG.
If u or others have problems with Lin-Sanity, u need to take it up with Tyson Chandler...

KO members need to stop reading any sentence (or graph) after the miss spell abreviation of headcoach Popovich using the same offense strategy as CLUELESS Dantoni.
There is nothing about coach Pop offense/defense strategy that match the same as a flawed coach Dantoni.

Ex-center David Robinson taught Duncan to be the BEST "back to the basket" bigman in the NBA since beating us in the FINALS in 1999, with a frontcourt of David/Duncan/Malik Rose.
7.0 PF-Duncan always had 2 centers in the Spurs rotation to give the team the extra bigman depth to win several Championship Titles.
Dantoni coaching career in the NBA has never had a "back to the basket" bigman in his offense before "Zach Randolph & David Lee", who Dantoni's clueless coaching showed so many flaws on using as a tandem frontcourt with SF Wilson Chandler in 9 games.
The two times in coach Dantoni's NBA career when he was forced by management to put a center & PF (Shaq & Amare or Tyson Chandler & Amare) in the starting lineup the outcome became Dantoni and his staff losing their job in 3 months later.

Dont ever compare headcoach Jax, or Pop, or Sloan's (many) strategic coaching philosophy with any of the NBA decades of headcoaches (except Hubie Brown)...

Everyone throughout the Memorial weekend kept mentioning the NBA Finals will consist of the
Miami Heats vs OKC Thunders......plus the debate discussion over "Stat vs Melo" were very
entertaining at the beach & Picnics this weekend.
No one seem to have confidence in Championship Titles Headcoach Pop with MVP Duncan and
veteran speedster Parker/Ginobli winning the series against OKC Thunders Big-3 of Durant/Harden/Westbrook.

Whats your thoughts?

Who's saying OKC v Miami in the Finals? lol I for one don't see OKc beating San An in a 7 game series.

I honestly doubt phoenix would be a 2nd round team with Amare still there. There are just other teams in the west that would be better.
But as far as amaress "ball holding time" digs deeper than the 5 seconds you said he holds it. But that was interesting tho.

Are you mad, Kiyaman?? Stop becoming illiterate when you see that word "D'Antoni."

Who would dare to compare coaching philosophy of D'Antoni to Popovich? What a disgrace!!

Before the playoffs there were concerns of how deep SAS can get running this fast tempo offense... it's WCF and they haven't lost even a game yet. Pops is the man, guy created a great combo system of kind of MDA's offense and great D.

When Phoenix Suns lost their 34 minute 21-8 bigman Stat to FA in 2010, Phoenix management made alot of repeatedly crazy moves to compensate the lost. If Stat wouldve resign with Phoenix, 85% of the Suns players that went to the WCF would still be there today.
With Nash in full control of Phoenix offense Stat shot 55% from FG, with 80% of his fga inside the paint (SSOL). Stat rarely shot from the peremeter in Phoenix.

Tha's considered a wide open offense or a clear-out for a one on one PLAY used in High School, college, and Orlando ex-headcoach SVG offense. SVG averaged 35+ shots from the 3-ball line per game as a NBA career headcoach.....Shaq loved the many benefits of a Tri-Angle offense that when traded to Miami & Phoenix, Shaq imediately had those teams headcoach SVG & Dantoni FIRED for having only "one" halfcourt offensive PLAY.

NCAA headcoaches been using the "wide open offensive PLAY" in the final minutes or seconds of a quarter for over a half a century. When the 3-ball line was implimented in the NBA, the best headcoach who used this "wide open offensive-PLAY" with perfection were "Phil Jackson" in his first 6 Championship Rings with the Chicago Bulls.

To call and use an old college basketball PLAY as a "system" to be use on the offensive end of the court 90% of the time is ridiculous. Which shows how poor the NBA headcoaches creativity has been in the past two decades.

Pov basically runs the same system as D'Antoni
Correction
Dantoni system is one of the many PLAYS Pov use in his system to win many titles. Pov used that PLAY with peremeter shooter Steve Kerr to win a Championship Title.
It was GM Steve Kerr who gave interim coach Dantoni an extension to be Phoenix headcoach.

Pops is the man, guy created a great combo system of kind of MDA's offense and great D.
Correction
Pop had two Championship titles before Dantoni became a headcoach in the NBA, by having a crunchtime PLAY that resembles Dantoni's system.
