The bigger question is how the hell Pjax missed a franchise changing, ROY candidate DM and grabbed a French cream puff instead???
Nits better put in the work this summer. I want him looking like the Giants 1st rd pick Sequon Barkley in Nov. I keep reading about how good defensively he's going to be, latest stat on him is he's the best PnR defender in the NBA, with a league leading .66 pts allowed on plays he defended.

So Westbrook shot 43 times to get 46 points? And Melo is the ballhog??? Cmon man. Now you see why Durant ran for GSW. 43 shots? That has to be some kind of record. Westbrook went to the Kobe school of shot selection except Kobe was a better shooter and took better shots. ?Playoff P? is gone for sure after watching Westbrook shoot the Thunder out of an elimination game.

Nits drafted way to high to be a ?defensive? player. For real if that?s it he?s a bust. There are no defensive stoppers under current NBA rules that are geared for offensive. Pjax really screwed us. How do you allow FailJackson to hang around long enough to blow your lottery pick before you fire him?

I couldn?t stay up to see the end of the Thunder game but I finally saw that last doomed possession. It was like Tu PAC the Thunder taking 5 shots and they still couldn?t kill the Jazz. And Melo was on the bench???? Are you freaking serious??! Billy Donovan needs to be fired immediately like I mean right now this morning. 3 future HOFamers and that?s the best you could come up with??!! Allowing one player to take 43 shots himself??? WOW😳

Here are six statistical notes that put Mitchell's epic performance in perspective: ? Mitchell's 38 points are the most by a rookie in a playoff game since Indiana's Chuck Person scored 40 in a 1987 first-round series against Atlanta. ? Mitchell scored 22 of his 38 points in the third quarter, breaking Gordon Hayward?s franchise record for most points in a quarter during a playoff game. ? Mitchell is the fourth rookie in NBA history to notch 35+ points in a playoff series-clinching victory. The others are Wilt Chamberlain (53 points), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (46 points) and Magic Johnson (42 points). ? Mitchell is the first rookie to lead his team in scoring for a series in which they beat a higher seeded team since Alonzo Mourning led Charlotte past Boston in a 1993 first-round series. ? Mitchell is the third rookie over the past 35 seasons with multiple 30-point games in a series, joining Mourning (twice in 1993, first round) and Michael Jordan (twice in 1985, first round). ? Mitchell has scored 171 points in first six career playoff games, the third most by a rookie in NBA history behind Lew Alcindor (216 in 1970) and Wilt Chamberlain in (199 in 1960).

If you or anyone else believe rookie Frank Knits is a bust or was drafted to high than you really need to stay on the ISO-Melo career of never getting pass the first-round of the playoffs jock strap.
Dallas owner Cuban, and his head coach Carlise had high hopes in selecting Frank Knits long athletic depth in the 2017 draft.
You and others not giving the Utah Jazz outstanding coaching staff and same-page system any credit for rookie Donovan Mitchell high leaping NBA performance this season, as if the previous Jazz season (2016-17) didn't exist having Gobert/Favors/and Haywood elite performance take the Jazz to the 2nd round of the playoffs to lose to the series to the champion Warriors team.
I'm happy for Donovan Mitchell great NBA rookie success, but for you and others not to include the Jazz organization Same-Page system having the best defensive-player in the league for two seasons in a row Gobert working out with Mitchell to get his first step quicker, plus not to include Mitchell's practice- session having one of the top creative coaching staffs in the NBA to develop Mitchell's form of attack around great pick n roll teammates to have a great dynamic rookie season. Is uncalled for!
I don't see Mitchell being the first pick to take Philly to the playoffs without a 6.10 Ben Simmons strong take charge leadership in the rotation, nor do I see Mitchell giving the Lakers more wins than Lonzo Ball performance did this season, nor do I see Mitchell having the same success as a rookie on the Knicks/ Mavs/ or the Kings this season.
The Kings rookie Fox would have had the same outstanding scoring rookie season as Mitchell in the Jazz organization if the Jazz selected Fox in the draft.

Boston up 50-42 at the half. Tough to win a game 7 on their home court with them having an 18-4 record in them. Ante needs to show he's LeBron in the second half, Celts have contained him limiting him to 7 pts, he's got to step up to have a chance

For over a half of century I don't recall any NBA team beating the Boston Celtricks in a Game-7 in Boston. It just doesn't happen in the NBA!

Weekend Games ....

Saturday
Boston 112 - Bucks 96 .. Boston Celtricks WON series 4-3
Terry Rozier stepped his performance up to the next-level of B.ball to have an outstanding Game 7 in Boston, scoring 26 pts on 10-16 fg shooting, 6 rb, 9 Dimes, 1 stl, and only 2 turnovers in 36 minute of playing-time leading the point for the winning Celtrics.
Props to head coach Brad Stevens and Captain Al Horford getting the Celtricks pumped-up to play winning B.ball in the postseason games.

GSW 123 - NO Pelicans 101 .. Warriors lead series 1-0
The champion GS Warriors blowed-out the Pelicans by 22 points in the first game of the series in the 2nd round! The Warriors out-scored, out-rebounded, and out-passing the Pelicans in the first 3 quarters of the game showed the series may become like last season Warriors SWEEP in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Sunday
Cavs 105 - Pacers 101 .. Cavs WON series 4-3
Coach Tyronn Lue is opting to change his starting five for Game 7, going with Thompson, Kevin Love, Kyle Korver, J.R. Smith and LeBron James. Though Thompson has played just 21 minutes in the series, coach Lue is opting to put faith in him, as he was part of the Cavs' championship team.
Well, Lebron went to sleep extra early last night to wake-up energize to have a 45 pt, 9 rb, 7 dimes, 4 steal game on 16-25 fga shooting.
In the first half Lebron scored 26 pt, 4 rb, 5 dimes before Halftime (54-43 Cavs lead).
Tristan Thomas is back and in the starting lineup for the Cavs this afternoon .. Tristan played a very BIG-Role in the Cavs WIN this afternoon, scoring 15 pts on 5-6 fg shooting, 10 rb, 1 dime, 1 stl, and 1 blk. what i don't understand are why the Cavs only let Tristan Thomas play in 2 games out of the 7 game series? We need all hands on deck for game-7 worked for the Cavs.
The Pacers star Victor Oladipo's (30 pts, 12 rb, 6 dimes, 2 steals) and Collison's (23 pts, 1 rb, 2 dimes, 1 steal) made a strong run in the 2nd half to take the lead, but lost the lead quickly when Lebron came back into the game.

Rockets 110 - Jazz 96 .. Rockets lead series 1-0
WOW! At the start of the game the Rockets let the Jazz know what type of team they were playing in the 2nd round series by the Rockets taking a 34-21 lead after the first quarter.
I have to give the Jazz the weekend off for knocking out the so-call OKC BIG-3 LOL!
The Rockets Starter 5 are way-way to-to much for the Jazz rotation!
Half-Time 64-39 lead by Rockets !!!
The Jazz players are whispering to each other "The Rockets BIG-3 (CP3/Harden/Capela) are the Real-Deal!" !!!

Cleveland better be careful 4 point game under a minute um um um

Cleveland probably get SWEPT in the 2nd round playing the way they played the Pacers ..
If the Raptors perform like they did in the regular season in the postseason games the Lebron-Cavs don't have a chance

Nice post Kiya. Thanks. TT was big in game 7 don't know why he hadn't played more minutes before game 7 but I expect his role will be bigger the rest of the playoffs. TOR bench was a difference maker in game 6 against the Wiz, DeRozan was on the bench when their second unit took over late and won the game, Clarkson and Hood have been disappointing and need to step up and match the TOR bench for CLE to advance.

From 1954-55 through 1966-67, 14 straight Game 7s were won by the home team.

In the shot-clock era, the home team in Game 7s is 99-25 (.798). Since the introduction of the 16-team playoff format in 1983-84, the home team is 64-15 (.810).

In first-round series since the introduction of the 16-team playoff format, the home team is 17-6 (.739) in Game 7. Of those six home-court losses, four came in matchups of the Nos. 4 and 5 seeds (including the aforementioned Jazz/Rockets series in which the lower seed hosted Game 7), and the other two came in series between the Nos. 3 and 6 seeds.

There is no precedent for a No. 1 or No. 2 seed (such as this year?s Celtics) losing a home Game 7 in the first round. No. 2 seeds ? including the 2008-09 Celtics ? have gone 4-0 in first-round Game 7s.

The franchises involved in this series likewise have histories that would seem to bode well for Boston Saturday. The Celtics own a 22-8 record (.733) overall in Game 7s, including 20-4 (.833) at home.

Nice playoff coverage Kiya MVP posts

Thanks Big-Chief .. I just left FB site .. FB fans talking bad bout OKC big-3 plus coach Donavan .. Westbrick, Melo-Drama, and inconsistent PG" .. and Twitter got a Fire-Sale up for Melo on draft night! Not looking good for the ex-Knicks franchise player Melo !!!

Boston 117 - Philly 101 .. Cetricks lead the series 1-0
Last night Celtricks performance were still in a winning team-player-mode from knocking the Bucks out of the playoff in their game 7 on Saturday 2 days ago. The addition of last year Marcus Smart's 2-way co-existing performance is back into the rotation to help Boston win 3-1 in their last 4 playoff games.
Smart is the rare veteran who can shoot 3-of-12, yet have a good game. His third quarter, old-fashioned three-point play over Joel Embiid brought the TD Garden crowd to their feet and sparked a second-half run during which Philly was never able to muster a comeback. Smart got the start due to DNP Jaylen Brown's hamstring injury.
Smart performance of 9 pt and 9 dimes mean nothing toward the relentless-defensive performance Smart put on the court last night to free up teammates
PG Rozier's 29 pts, 8 rb, 6 dimes, 2 stl, 1 blk, and 2 turnovers in 35 minute to record an outstanding playoff performance ..
or PF Horford's 26 pts, 7 rb, 4 dimes, on 10-12 fga shooting.
And the rookie match-up between 6.8 Jayson Tatum vs 6.9 Ben Simmons were a great star rookie battle to watch .. Tatum's 28 pts, 3 rb, 2 dimes, 1 blk, and relentless defense was like a experience postseason player.
Simmons 18 pts, 7 rb, 6 dimes, 2 stl, and 1 blk were also outstanding but Tatum, Rozier, and Smart stole the show taking the first win of the series.

Don't forget Brad Stevens who is making a great case for coach of the year with how far he's taken this team despite all the injuries he's had this year. I was amazed with how well they guarded the 3 pt line yesterday with one of their most athletic defenders in JBrown out, Rozier is playing out of his mind and I don't think he's a one game wonder.
