2018 NBA Playoffs

Don't forget Brad Stevens who is making a great case for coach of the year with how far he's taken this team despite all the injuries he's had this year. I was amazed with how well they guarded the 3 pt line yesterday with one of their most athletic defenders in JBrown out, Rozier is playing out of his mind and I don't think he's a one game wonder.

Coach Brad Stevens 55 win season on a injury-prone roster n rotation has one of the best chances of grabbing the coach of the year award from other top candidates like Dwane Casey or MDA.
Last season Boston had the top guards in the NBA in Isiah Thomas / Bradley / and Smart, now their understudy backups from last season Brown and Rozier has taken their spot light in the playoffs.

Hell of a shot by LeBron with Anouby draped all over him to hit that 10ft shot to tie it 105-105. Toronto has missed their last 11 shots and JV has missed 5 point blank layups at the rim this qtr.

LeBron misses the game winner with less than a second left and we go to OT.

Nice post Kiya. Thanks. TT was big in game 7 don't know why he hadn't played more minutes before game 7 but I expect his role will be bigger the rest of the playoffs. TOR bench was a difference maker in game 6 against the Wiz, DeRozan was on the bench when their second unit took over late and won the game, Clarkson and Hood have been disappointing and need to step up and match the TOR bench for CLE to advance.
The Cavs bench was big this game except it was Green and TT and not Clarkson Hood. Cavs never led until late in the 4th and pulled out an OT win when the Raps shooting went cold at the end. Really surprised when Casey had Vanvleet in on the last play because he was having trouble with his shoulder and he wound up missing the game winning 3 for the Raps. Raps let one get away, important game 2 for them Thursday.

Thursday Game will be a must win Raptors game!
If Cavs win 2 in a row in Toronto .. Head coach Dwane Casey may become unemployed in the offseason for being a Great regular season coach .. but a poor postseason coach!

Cavs 113 - Raptors 112 .. Cavs lead series 1-0
The Cavs started the Raptors series by stealing the first game on the Raptors Home-court .. the Raptors have to get a win in Cleveland in the series now.
King Lebron James needed a triple-double (26 pts, 11 rb, 13 dimes, 1 stl, 2 blk, and 1 turnover) for the Cavs to pull off the close over-time win over the Raptors tonight in Toronto. Yes Remarkable !!!
I must admit .. I did not believe the one-man Cavs had it in them to win the first game in Toronto!
The Cavs looked so weak in the Pacers series, I thought the Raptors 2nd unit bench-depth were going to take over the series making it hard for the Cavs to win in Cleveland throughout the series. Losing at Home is a hard first impression to start the series on !!!

GSW 121 - Pelicans 116 .. Warriors lead series 2-0
The Pelicans Rondo n Davis n Co. played a magnificent game tonight vs GSW .. But the Warriors welcome back their missing BIG-4 piece Stephen Curry in tonight rotation.
All the Pelicans hard effort and physical hustle couldn't stop the quick passing uptempo same-page Warriors team .. Curry played 27 minute in his first game back scoring 28 pts hitting 5-10 from the 3-ball line, grabbing 7 rb, 2 dimes, and 3 stls. Curry is Back! The Warriors are back to being the 120 pt Playoff team.
Tonight, Durant scored 29 pts, 6 rb, 7 dimes, 2 stl, and 3blk,
Plus Green added 20 pts, 9 rb, 12 dimes, 1 stl, 2 blk, and 5 hard FOULS ..
And we cant leave out IGGY's 15 pts, 8 rb, 2 dimes, 3 stl, 1 blk and relentless defensive effort tonight.

Thanks Big-Chief .. I just left FB site .. FB fans talking bad bout OKC big-3 plus coach Donavan .. Westbrick, Melo-Drama, and inconsistent PG" .. and Twitter got a Fire-Sale up for Melo on draft night! Not looking good for the ex-Knicks franchise player Melo !!!
There's talk that Melo is so unhappy with his role in OKC this season that he might opt out of that 28M he's owed. He's quoted as saying he's made a lot of money already and money won't be be the major factor in the decision. LeBron and CLE should jump at a chance to get him, not impressed with the production of KLove so far and if TOR eliminates CLE they should have a discussion of a Melo for KLove trade.

We all know how Westbrook feel bout Melo & PG stay in OKC, from Westbrook's 43 fga shooting performance in OKC final game of the postseason.
Melo and PG are making their decisions less than a week from being eliminated from playoff, well the two players decision will decrease OKC salary-cap in the offseason to go looking for cheaper FA replacements.
Wow! After OKC visit to the FINALS in 2012 season the organization let 3 star franchise players leave to go to the next NBA team within the next 6 seasons.
I doubt Lebron or Cavs would do a Love for Meki trade now .. Love performance at the PF spot surpassed Melo 3 seasons ago.
Plus the Cavs has the Nets pick in June to get one of the following draft players:
7.0 C-Deandre Ayton
6.8 PG-Luka Doncic
6.11 F/C-Jaren Jackson Jr.
6.11 F/C-Marvin Bagley II
7.0 C-Mohamed Bamba
6.10 C-Wendell Carter Jr.
6.10 SF-Michael Porter Jr.
6.2 PG-Trae Young
6.2 PG-Collin Sexton
6.6 SF-Mikal Bridges
6.6 SF-Miles Bridges
6.6 PG-Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
6.10 C-Robert William
6.2 PG-Jalen Brunson (NBA-Ready!)
Imagine how advance one of the players above will become after one season playing with Lebron???

lol @ Phil Jackson

Broadway?s best tweet short and sweet! What a follow up dunk! DM postgame interview:?well i was up there anyway...? Why Phil, why??? How did you miss this badly on a franchise changing player who btw was in you own backyard? Jerry Krause:?Organizations win championships.?

Cavs should do Love for Melo. Everyone roasting Melo for his playoff performance, but what has little Kevin done?

Melo is 33 and Love is 29. If Cavs get bounced before the NBA Finals, I think that they have to be thinking about getting younger and moving on to the post-Lebron era.

Keven Love been to the BIG-Show .. holding 2 championship rings.
Melo just added to his long career of not getting pass the first round playoffs.

Utah Jazz 116 - Rockets 108 .. Series Tied at 1-1
The young surprise postseason Utah Jazz team has stepped up to the next-level of B.ball last night .. When the Jazz upset the Rockets for a Jazz WIN in Houston to tie the series 1-1. The Jazz took a huge early lead in the first half, then squandered their lead in the 3rd quarter to let the Rockets back into the game. In the fourth quarter the Jazz came-up big to regain control of the lead down the stretch for a win to stagnate the Houston Rockets. Coach MDA didnt have a answer for the Same-Page Jazz team last night.
The Jazz Joe Ingles scored a career-high 27 pts, 3 rb, 2 dimes ..
Crowder added a double-double 15 pts n 10 rb
Gobert added a double-double 15 pts, 14 rb, and 3 blk
Rookie Mitchell added a double-double 17 pts, 5 rb, 11 dimes, and 2 stl
Alec Burks had a great game along with his teammates by adding 17 pts, 4 rb, 6 dimes, 1 stl, and 1 blk in 22 minutes off the bench.
The Jazz are happy heading HOME to Utah for Game-3 .. to make the series 2-1 Jazz favor .. Remarkable !!!

Raps up 63-61 at the half. KLove having a nice game and is the leading scorer for the Cavs with 18 but Clarkson and Hood continue to be busts, I think they are better players than what we've seen and if they can get going and start contributing that would be big for the Cavs.

Raps are in trouble with the Cavs opening up a 79-68 lead to start the 3rd qtr. 7:50 left. They can't stop Lebron, I 'd go hack a LeBron because that's the only way to stop him being 5-16 on freebies in the series.

That fade away jumper is becoming like a layup for Lebron. He shoots that shot from all over the floor but I don't get why he can't make his freebies when he makes that shot.

It's over with the Cavs up 121-98 3:51 left, Cavs take both games in TOR, a near impossible task for TOR to win the series after this. LeBron shot 70% from the field so if you didn't see the game you would think he bulled his way to the basket to get his points but most of his shots were fade away jumpers. Impossible to defend a guy like that where you have to give him a cushion to defend his attacking the lane and you have to defend that jumper.

30-point turnaround in BOS. Almost 4th now and Ben has 1 point. The dude still hasn?t made a 3-pointer this season. People are crazy to think he?s ROY over DM.

Rookie Donovan Mitchell's postseason performance has been off the wall surpassing several NBA all-star players performance in the postseason games .... But in the Regular-Season Games Ben Simmons outstanding consistent performance won the Rookie of the Year before All-Star Weekend.

“Little Kevin” finally having a nice playoff game

LOL .. Little Keven stepped-up his performance (double/double night 31 pts and 11 rb) in an important win in Toronto!

Cavs 128 - Raptors 110 .. Lebron's Cavs lead series 2-0
Wow! Second upset in Toronto! Lebron n Love combine for 74 pts, 19 rb, and 16 dimes, the rest of the Cavs team shot 59% from fg having 5 Cavs players in double figure points.
The Raptors as a team played hard tonight shooting 54% from fg and 40% from 3-ball, but their 4th qtr. defense couldn't provide any stops from letting the Cavs stretch the lead having a 30-23 final quarter ....
Cavs went to foul line 17-23 compared to Raptors 10-11 tonight

Boston 108 - Philly 103 .. Boston leads series 2-0
Boston's outstanding Team-Ball on both sides of the court has outsmart Philly twice in Boston to lead the series 2-0 ..
Horford's leadership/experience is way to much for young Embiid and Saric to handle in the frontline of the series.
Boston's co-existing TRIO lineup of any 4 players Smart/Brown/Rozier/or Rookie Tatum has been playing on the next-level of B.ball in their last 6 games in Boston.
Philly's backcourt tandem Reddick and Rookie Ben Simmons transition performance built a Philly's 22 point lead 48-26 in the first 6 minute of 2nd quarter .. what happen after that? Lets just say Boston's Defense made the perfect offense to come from 22 points behind to gain the lead in the 2nd half to win the game.
How does a 48-24 Philly lead turn into a 56-51 Halftime .. easy by Philly coach never calling a time-out within the 5 minute it took Boston to go on a 18-3 run to close-out the 2nd quarter.
