Yeah, I know. The Minnesota Timberwolves were great without Marbury. It took them 5 years, after he left, just to make it passed the first round.

The Knicks have been awesome without Marbury. They're below .500, and they just lost 4 of their last 5 games. Great job, Knicks!

What don't you get about team chemistry? We all agree Marbury puts up the best numbers but lacks a team spirit. Dantoni's system depends on chemistry and Marbury is too selfish and egotiscal to work well in that system. That said, his refusal to play only hurts the 7 other teamates that have to play extra minutes and get embarassed on the court because he is now trying to prove a point. Marbury is soon to be gone and good riddance!

Why would Marbury want to play for a losing team that has NO frontcourt bigmen. So that the losses could be pointed at him....rather than Dantoni and Walsh.

Donnie Walsh made this team into a losing season team with the Zach to Clippers deal. For what? a so-call 2010 Plan!
The Knicks were in need of bigmen....not two soft SG (Mobley & Timmy Thomas).
The Clippers coach Dunleavy knew they needed Bigmen so he traded a PG-Brevin Knight for C-Camby, and now he traded their SG-Mobley and soft SF-Timmy for a PF Zach that will give them a double-double as a Bigman.

Who are the Knicks bigmen??????

As a Knicks fan I have absolutely no sympathy for Steph and his "situation". Look, this guy is making $21 million to PLAY BASKETBALL (or not play, depending on how Steph feels that day). God blessed him with such incredible ability and talent, a degree of talent that people on this board I'd would be willing to bet would shoot, steal and kill for.

And what has Steph done with it? He quit on his situation in Minnesota because he wanted to have more money and didn't like KG taking his spotlight. He quit on D'Antoni in Phoenix, which has come back to haunt the "poor" guy. He couldn't get along with any of his teammates in New Jersey. He got in a fight with Larry Brown publicly. He got in a fight with Isiah Thomas publicly. Every off season he said he's in the "best shape of his life" and we're supposed to believe him this time when every other time was a farce? He goes on Television showing how idiotic he is. He doesn't have an agent (which if he had an agent, a buyout would have been done months ago).

I don't blame guys like Q for calling him out. Guys like Q-Rich, Nate Robinson, David Lee go out on the court and bust their ass every night for this team. Regardless of what you think about them as players they are out there, fighting, working hard and trying to give US KNICKS FANS a team that's actually watchable. Steph has chosen now twice to sit on the bench. As a fan I am insulted by his actions, is this team not worth his time? Am I as a fan not worth his time to watch him play? Am I as a fellow NY-er being duped by a guy who said this is where he wants to be and this is where he wants to play? The team was willing to pay him $21 million to do nothing, and he STILL had a problem...Get him out of the league and out of our lives forever...

Walsh is finally doing what all smart Knick fans have been calling for since the horrible Ewing for Glen Rice trade. You can trace back one bad trade and contract after another to that original Ewing trade. Walsh is breaking that cycle and bring fiscal displine back to the Knicks.

You may be happy with the biggest payroll in the league while being a lottery team but I am not. I am happy Lebron or not to shed huge contracts and give us an opportunity to play our young guns while gaining lotto picks. We all know we were not winning a title going in the direction we were heading so why not start from scratch keeping young players with an upside and small contracts.

If Marbury is such a cancer, and the Knicks are so great without him, why even offer him to play? I thought Chris Duhon was God. I thought Duhon was going to be the next Steve Nash. D'Antoni said that Chris Duhon was a steal, so let Duhon steal some wins for the Knicks.

What about the Nets and Suns? So Minnesota stayed the same and did not dramatically get better. It does not disprove that Marbury is a cancer on any team he joins. Rewrite history all you want, fact is Marbury refusing to play is immature and wrong no matter how you slice it. Defend a professional athlete making Kobe money not playing all you want. Knick fans know whats up! Marbury fans can stay in denial all they want!

False, they had no ground to stand on were they to suspend him. Now that they have ground they have taken it to suspend him...If they suspended him without grounds that is grounds for a lawsuit the Knicks do NOT want.

Here is the lesson folks: Syracuse Orangeman!!! Anybody heard of them??? Well you should. They recently fired their headcoach Greg Robinson with 2 games left in the season[ G-Rob used to be my team's (Chiefs) defensive coordinator]. Now did G-Rob sulk and leave and leave one of his assistants to coach the end of the season? NO. G-Rob said: "I'm not going to QUIT on my players because my players haven't QUIT on me." So as a FIRED, lameduck coach G-Rob leads a 19 point UNDERDOG into South Bend against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Well anybody who follows college football knows what happened next. Cameron Dantley (Yes Adrian Dantley's son) throws the game winning TD for Syracuse and probably costs Charlie Weis his job. The lesson??? Was the Steph situation handled poorly by the Knicks management from the beginning. Absolutely. Did they somewhat mislead Steph during the off-season?? Sure. But you know what so what build a bridge and get over it. That's life in the big city. Steph had a chance to preform a similar feat as G-Rob. To show he was the bigger man and lead an underdog, undermanned Knicks squad into battle. His hometown team no less. And what does Steph do??? Pout and refuse to play like a two year old child made to stand in the corner. Steph had a chance to do something great and try to resurrect his career and rep, instead he reinforces all the negative that we all know. This guy is a total loser.
