Game Thread: New York Knicks @ Boston Celtics 7:30 10/24/2017 [Game #3]

Do my recent posts imply any happiness whatsoever with our current product? Completely unwatchable team right now except for that great 1st 15 minutes against the Pistons.

I want to try to trade for Bledsoe, but everyone else on here says that?s stupid, so I give up.

Funny one good quarter in now 3 games and counting. I give you credit for watching the unwatchable. I only lasted 5 minutes of last night free league pass. But hey that?s what you guys cried for so enjoy.

oh come on now, it's not about 'sleeping with the enemy melo'. that's just ridiculous hating nonsense. it's ABOUT THIS ORGANIZATION. guys have egos coming in, because you have to have some kind of ego in order to make it as a professional athlete in the first place, and the douche bags in suits in the knicks organization just make matters worse. when they talk about 'a culture change', they're not just talking about the way the team plays on the court.
Bingo. This is a complete organizational failure top to bottom. Right down to Dolan?s goon squad MSG security that had the freaking nerve to put their hands on Knicks icon Charles Oakley. And we are going to give Broadway a statue of limitations on Melo blaming. I don?t want to hear that mess after Xmas. Where is Pjax culpability for drafting the french pastry that cant seem to get on the court because of injuries????

about 'fragile frank'.... i got a name for you. embiid.
yeah it sucks that he hasn't had any good minutes out there yet. can we give him at least 5-10 games of meaningful minutes to see what we've got? maybe he turns out to be good, maybe he turns out to be a bust. he's missed 2 complete games out of the first 3.
3 FRIGGIN GAMES!
this isn't about melo anymore. he's gone. it's about seeing what we've got and how it plays into the hopefully near future.
timmy's got to step up and start earning that money, and if he isn't paying attention during practices, he'd better start paying attention.

Yup. THjr needs to 🤐 and go to the gym and shoot until his arms fall off. That?s what happens when you overpay a bum who only has a NBA career because of his last name. He needs to look in the mirror and take responsibility for all them bricks he is laying because right now he is the grand puba of the Masons on chief.

Got to see that Bulls/Cavs game and Holiday put up 25 4/9 from 3, the Bulls got him playing at SG while Lavine is out and if Holiday keeps producing like this they'll take their time letting Zach come back. Mills let him go for nothing after having a decent season with the Knicks, when they picked up Timmy I said I liked Tim but not for 72M, let me add I like Tim but he ain't worth 63M more than Holiday. I have never been impressed with Mills and I hope Perry is better.

One player speaking out bout the disillusion coaching-staff ....

Knicks guard Lee says players don't know the team's plays ...

Courtney Lee did not hold back in his postgame comments after the Knicks continued their winless start to the season.
New York fell to 0-3 after a 110-89 loss to the Celtics on Tuesday. Obviously, it is still very early in the season. However, there appears to be some frustration within the Knicks locker room. Courtney Lee said after the game a few players don?t know the team?s plays.
For a veteran like Lee, this will probably be just one of many times he finds himself frustrated this season.

Last season Holidays performance by mid-season granted Holiday to be put as our starter SG, and switch Lee to coming off the bench to tandem with Jennings.
Our head coach Horn remind me of the substitute teacher in high-school that could never get control of the class of students

I know and Milwaukee is only 45 minutes from my crib. Problem is I have no emotions or feelings for the Bucks. I had my Knicks stuff on Saturday night for the home opener and will undoubtedly hook it up again Xmas morning. Then the game will start and we will see how much bad basketball I can handle. At least when Melo was on the floor there was one NBA level player to watch. Now what???? I’m sorry but CLEE and THjr just aint doing it. And now KP6 is going to get the Melo treatment so it will be harder for him to develop against constant double teams. Our Knicks are stuck in the worst of all basketball purgatories now. I think Adam Silver is seriously going to have to step in on Dolan who only cares about the almighty $$$$. It’s bad for the NBA for the Knicks to be this bad for an extended period of time.

If you're 45min away, then you're punishing yourself by not watching a once in a generation type talent. He's worth investing the time more so than the emotion. Everything else can follow if needed

Fans are probably like some players...they really don't love the game they just love the environment/claim/hobby/passing entertainment of it. Which in turns produces results of not reaching player potential or true appreciation of the sport. I like rooting for a team but the game trumps all...which allows me to see the pure beauty of it as I cover the league and not stay strictly in a box of fan exclusivity.

The Knicks have been bad for almost 20yrs, that's a 1/4th of a lifetime. I think a person deserves better to not be held hostage at all costs.

Holiday/Grant are giving Bulls more than Baker/THJR are giving us, at fractions on the premium

Still not a Grant fan. Seems like the same player he was last year with the Bulls despite them starting him this year. Bulls also picked up Kay Felder and are giving him minutes but the guy is shorter than IT so he's not the answer either.

I'm not necessarily impressed with either, although Holiday is definitely providing bang for buck(pause). Grant did double double last game and was 4 reb away from a TripDip and his assist numbers for the "starting" spot are respectable and the Bulls have been competitive somewhat.

Hold on .. u dont go see one of the Top-10 all-around athletic super stars in the NBA, thats only 45 minutes away? My final words to u jimkcchief88 ....
.
Giannis is ten times the player Melo is/were LOL ..
If Camby, K.Mart, and Iverson had Giannis as a teammate they would've made it to the FINALS consecutive times.

Wsup Broadway .... Grant, Galloway, and Holiday are a much-much better trio of guards than what we have on our roster today. I would've rather had the above trio of guards to go with rookie Frank in a rotation.

Not really a Bucks fan....

Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis is leading the team in points through the first three games of the season, but he believes that referees haven't done enough to call fouls on opposing defenders.

Porzingis, who shot just 3-of-14 from the field in Tuesday's loss to the Celtics, said he's drawing contact from defenders but not seeing any more time from the charity stripe.

They're playing physical against me and all those little contacts maybe that go into my turnaround jumpers, I get a little touch on my elbow or something - it changes your shot so much," Porzingis said, according to Newsday. "It's hard for a lot of defenders to block my shot actually so I'm trying to tell the referees all those little contacts on my elbow, some on my arm, it's bothering my shot and it shouldn't be allowed.

"It's tough to see for sure. But I just got to be able to make those shots through contact, I guess."

Though he scored just 12 points in his latest effort, he dropped 31 and 33 in the first two games. He told reporters that he understands the difficulties go through, but hopes things turn around in his favor.

Porzingis added: "I don't want to be complaining about little things but it happens and refs are going to do their best to try to call that for sure, but it is what it is."

Oh, kill me now. Isn?t this similar to Melo?s schtick that he didn?t get foul calls because he was too tough and didn?t flop?

Because being DA MAN isn't about platitudes and soliloquies...#kporzee was a follower last yr of the highest order, why did we think this would change this yr? All he and THJR want to do is chuck the rock and hard to check a teammate when you're stinking up the joint yourself. Sometimes it isn't about chirping but instead leading by example. Such as if your shot isn't falling how about get into the game another way but this is what happens when you're sleeping with the enemy which #kporzee did for 2yrs here with Melo.

He has a strong case of Meloitis over 3gms 60FGA to 3AST but according to Knick fans he's arrived as a new Man...NO HE HAS NOT! Given the same usage rate he's not better than Kanter nor WHG definitively. He might be a better TALENT but not a better PLAYER. There's a difference.

I'm not upset because I expected us to be really bad and unless we find a REAL STAR so #kporzee can play second or third fiddle we're going to be historically bad while he's here. I hope that player surfaces in this summer's draft. CAN'T WAIT!

You may be right about KP6 being infected by Melo-itis. I was really hoping that wasn't the case, and I still hold out hopes that it isn't the case. But you hear how KP had posters of Melo on his wall, or that he was rocking cornrows like Melo as a kid. Unsettling stuff. That said, I also hope his brother somehow was able to get KP to see things a bit differently about Melo. Maybe that never happened. And lastly, KP is very young and perhaps a bit callow for someone who we all saw spoke very well and with poise and maturity. So the message I get from him is confusing and mixed. At the end of the day, I hope he can purge himself of any bad habits he may have picked up, because Melo has some of the worst habits I have ever seen in a so-called superstar. Except for the Dad Melo era which was all of thirty games two seasons ago.

And lets face it: KP needs to become more like Duncan and Pau in the post. He has to develop his passing game, and alot of that has to do with the coach getting KP's teammates to make themselves available for a pass out of the double and triple teams KP is going to face. KP is a willing and capable passer, after all. We need to see that adjustment in the next 15-20 games or the fears of being infected by Melo-itis will be proven true.
