Game Thread: New York Knicks vs Denver Nugets 1:00pm 2/7/2016

This is the part i HATE about Melo he wanna score when opponents got a 20 or 15 point lead so they relax on defense.

Both KP or Mudiay weren't that good, though KP had the edge to me. KP seems to have hit the wall, not seeing the improvement that we were seeing earlier in the season.

True but...Phil could have both or a point guard and a big. The analysis is multifaceted and not linear. We see that Jokic isn't that lesser of a talent than #kporzee even if #kporzee has an edge. #kporzee has to be SUPER DUPER great for us...otherwise we have to find him tons of talent to put around him.

Also why is it the PG is till a sensitive issue. Why do so called GREAT player(Melo) or GREAT talent(#kporzee) need said position player to be GREAT? Melo needed a point guard spent yrs not getting him one, now #kporzee needs a point guard may go another yr or two before he gets one yet Melo and #kporzee play on the same team?

I'm thoroughly confused

You could argue maybe they could have went lower in the draft, but you'd also be admitting there's young talent as good as them. I've said since day 1 this draft has lots of talent. Maybe not peak(Superstar) talent but really good talent.

Are you saying Phil should have done something totally different during the draft?

#kporzee putting in work, really little play from the point guard just going to work like he should. Knicks mount the comeback.
 
What a comeback after being down by 19 the previous quarter!! Let's keep the hype going!

With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I think Phil made the right pick at 4, the kid has won the last 3 ROM awards, he's as good as any rookie not named KAT.
 
Slept late because I was up all night. Can't believe I missed almost this entire game. Sounds like we decided to not start playing until the 3rd quarter, similar to the Detroit game. Hopefully this game has a better outcome for us.
 
Barton killing us. Just walking into the paint and hitting close range shots. We're benefitting for a foul getting called on Denver on every one of our possessions to keep this tied.
 
Nice pass by Melo to Lopez to get to the line yet again. Here comes Porzingis and Afflalo. Also here comes Gallinari.
 
Nevermind, here comes Mudiay. Mudiay comes right into the game and nails the long range jumper to tie the game. Next possession, gets the friendly bounce on a 3-pointer and we are down 3.
 
Melo continues to lead the Knicks in scoring and assists. No Knick has ever done that for a season.

Mudiay going right at Calderon. No intention of passing the ball on any of these possessions for him.
