Wsup Rady .. Thanks for the Game Thread .. Kawhi Lenard's back, and in MSG today.
The LA Clippers loss to the Giannis-Bucks on Thursday by one pt, and are on a 6-2 run.

Brunson is questionable for todays game (day to day) .. Quickley was forced to play 37 minutes in the last game at the PG spot letting Randle & Barrett take the majority of shots (42 FGA) for the win over the Miami Heats.

The First quarter belong to the Clippers ..
Randle & Barrett played the entire first quarter again
End of 1st Quarter .. Knicks 28 - Clips 36
Grimes have 5 pts, and was only given 1 FGA in the quarter
 
Half Time .. Knicks 56 - Clips 63
Brunson's one on one almost chop away Clips lead.
But Paul George (21 pts) pushing for another season high in MSG
 
Barrett's game is still off to start the 3rd
Grimes still hot
Clips taking advantage of all our weak areas on defense to stretch their lead
Knicks (Sims) holding Clips lead under double digits
 
RJ has taken 17 shots and made 4. He s 0-6 from downtown and has 2 assists, 4 rebounds, 0 steals and 0 blocks.

Shooting Guard Grimes is 2-3 from field and Obi is 3-4. How about benching RJ again for the 4th?
 
Forget the Clips 15 pt lead to end the 3rd
At the start of the 4th it was McBride fo 2, McBride for 3, Toppin for 3, Grimes for 3, and Clips lead down to 8
 
Knicks rally back and take a 1 point lead with 52 seconds left. Brunson is having himself quite a game. 113-112. They were down 17 in 4th. Grimes drains a huge 3, off a tough defensive rebound from Randle and assist from JB. QG making big 3s last 2 games (down the stretch). Bang!
 
LAC grab offensive rebound and Batum sinks 3 at buzzer to send it to OT. Folks, this is why you foul under 8 seconds. Insane.
 
No way they win this in OT. They had their chance. Oh well. They got stops but went into scramble mode instead of fouling.
 
We gotta find a way to incorporate more Grimes and Obi into our offensive system…it’s getting way past ridiculous

Kudos to Randle making it as an All-Star reserve but CLEARLY Brunson deserved the spot if it came down to the two of them
 
Words cannot paint the picture, but after LAC missed the shot at end of regulation, scramble for rebound found it’s way to Zubek… Hart stands there and defends him, Zubek pass out to corner and then pass goes to PG3, who then skips pass to Batum for 3…

All IH needed to do was wrap up Zubek and foul him. Then LAC is shooting 2 FTs with 3 seconds left, down 3. Knicks win. Either bad coaching by Thibbs or brain burp by IH. Great comeback ruined and game lost bc IH and Knicks didn’t foul up 3 with under 8 seconds. I hate when teams allow the 3 to tie. Look how that worked out.
 
All our over times has revealed how TIRED we become on defense, and how restless we are on offense, after receiving 32 minutes of playing time in regulation.

Impossible to justify playing RJ Barrett a game-high 43 minutes tonight.

Especially considering how well Deuce and Obi played.

Barrett took a team-high 21 shots and made only 6.

RJ:
6-of-21 for 14 points

Obi, Deuce & Grimes:
10-of-18 for 29 points

The last 9 min, Hart and everyone in the Knicks lineup were suppose to foul SAD!
Hopefully, this will be Tom Thibs final season as a Knicks.
