Rockets offered Ryan Aderson so that should tell everyone what teams may think of Melo as of now. Butler and George didn't create a huge trade market value. Teams are probably gonna go the old fashion route of trying to get better through the draft and smart signings.

Easy to say that before the music begins or after the music is playing.... when the music stops and a team is sitting there without their option A,B,C.... what's left?
I don't anticipate getting anything for Melo, and even if he waves NTC and we find a suitor... I expect 1 asset at most.
Still, so far, the best case scenario for NYK is happening. For NYK.... this is about as much fortune as it gets for them.

Just want future picks.... even if 2021.... and perhaps a young player.
Gamble in a Bledsoe, scoop up a Waiters. I prefer we go young, put kids through the fire, see if they pass the test, take our lumps for 2 years and find gems in lottery.
Then, come 2019.... we should start seeing the fruits of our losing WHG, KP, Frank, 2 lottery picks.... we should see signs.... plus whatever other young guys we accumulate or develop. Then, if we start competing then.... we hope a pick or 2 we traded for helps come 2020 and 2021.
Again.... no sense even trying to field a good team next 2 seasons. Go young and develop a core.

The Knicks need to just stop with this. Only veterans that makes sense at PG is Rose and Rondo because they're likely to take a lot less than others.

The Rockets have reached an agreement with Nene on a four year, $15 million contract.
Nene is 34 years old and he's already getting plenty of maintenance days right now, so it's hard to imagine what it'll look like in four years. Still, this isn't exactly a back-breaking contract for dollars per year and it'll give the Rockets some wiggle room in their quest to stay under the cap.

Jrue Holiday will meet with the Knicks if he doesn't agree to a deal with the Pelicans at the start of free agency according to Ian Begley of ESPN.
In case you missed it, Holiday is expected to meet with the Pelicans right away on Saturday morning and then sleep on his decision to re-sign with New Orleans. The Knicks can have about $15 million in cap space if they renounce the rights to Derrick Rose, so they can make a competitive offer. In addition to the Knicks, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune said he's hearing that the Pacers could be an option as well.

The Jazz probably knew that Hill's demand would be too high, so they went ahead and traded for Ricky Rubio. Hill has already been heavily linked to the Spurs, so this could turn into a bidding war. New York would be an ideal landing spot for Hill to produce for his fantasy owners, but it's unclear if the interest is mutual.

We don't know the details of the deal yet, but he'll be back playing backup point guard for the Knicks this season. He averaged just 4.1 points and 2.1 assists in limited action last year, but also became a bit of a fan favorite. The Knicks are still trying to sign their starting point guard, which could end up being Utah's George Hill.
Shaun Livingston has agreed to re-sign with the Warriors on a 3-year, $24 million deal according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
Livingston probably could've fetched a larger deal somewhere else, but it's hard to turn the down the defending champs. With Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant fully expected to re-sign, the Warriors can now turn their attention to retaining Andre Iguodala. Livingston should reprise his role as Curry's backup, but won't be worth drafting in standard fantasy leagues -- he averaged 5.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.7 minutes per game last season.
